Mod Update - PC Issues

my problem is 45 minuts for load the game and when i play when i jump from an old system in an new 3d system the junp is long 10 minuts

But I too need few mins to load the game and its slow when I change chars or go to new system...

Just an update....

Firstly I can significantly reduce the loading speed on my PC, so the lower end spec pc's should see a large improvement, how much will depend on testing.

Secondly, the memory usage has been dropped as well.

If i'm right, there will be a big improvement in the game as well as in the time spent loading for everyone.

Im still testing and putting in some bug fixs as well, but hopefully, tomorrow we will be able to get some of the lower end spec pc players trying the new version on the server. Ill provide some more details later when im happy with the results

unfortunately the new mod cant load : it says a file DACOM.dll is missing. a new installation could solve the problem but that didn t work

Strail , if needed of low spec (i mean junk of pc) heres mine :D

It really sucks this one , i used to play freelancer on full details (in the past) and now (without any mod installed) i wait a long time to load any games and i play free on lowest details (in the present)

So tomorow , u can ask me with no prob about testing

Lucky, it happened to me. It is just because the new mod installer has a default path for installing:
c:/programs files/Microsft games/Freelancer

For example In spanish it should be c:/Archivos de Programas/Microsoft games/Freelancer.

So just browse the path in your PC

Anway, in my work I tried to install new mod, but when I launch game the screen turns black and pc start thinking.... and finally program blocks. IIn this PC i has a 2,80Ghz processor but only 504 Mgb RAM.

Is this RAM not enough????????

and if u can get my freelancer  to work with new mod HAIL U EVEN MORE

my current prob is that i press play, screen goes black, i reckon its just loading, half an hour later still black, turns out it froze

i know it froze cos my screensaver came on, i moved the mouse(to turn it off)and it froze

Lucky prova a scaricare la mod da questo link.... testata da me e non gli manca niente  :)
ricordati di installarla nella stessa cartella del gioco C:/Programmi/microsoftgames/freelancer

Seph it froze becouse the mod is very big and it need a lot of time for load all the game with the new mod with an slow pc.The new mod work on the top with 1.5Gb of RAM. I have an 512 Mb of RAM and it froze too when i load the game. But when the game is all loaded it work, just wait 45-50 minuts .

Osiris, i waited for an hour, it was completely frozen

but thx for the info, even though i didn't understand it XD

i'm still waiting for the smaller version strails workin on atm with patience

if i wait too long and study to become a doctor i'll have patients XD and thats why i'm only waitin till it comes out

aye i will help test it if need be. (pm me or contact ingame or whatever)
i got 640mb of ram.
1600MHz pentium 4 prosessor.
takes 15 - 35 mins to load game. (i leave it loading and do other stuff while waiting with volume up loud so when music starts i no its loaded)
worth the wait to load though.. arcadia is the only new sys ive got to so far and man its big!!!  top stuff all you modders. will be even better with fix.
(still gonna get me a new comp though)

High Strail. I am me. The same prob like the other droids. Except frozen, that dont do the game. I just waited for minutes, and hours............ nothing.
