prob with l8est mod

Got another one for ya.  Got rid of the last mod.  Downloaded FLMM. Downloaded the new mod.  Logged straight in without a problem.  1st time around server appeared to crash and took me with it.  I came back online and looted a fresh wreck - so I guess it was the server that time.  Took a mission in Babylonia - got to the waypoint and shot two bad guys - Flipped to PC Screen no cursor - then a message "VOID has a problem contact Micro Soft - do you want to send a report blah blah "  Told it no and relaunched VOID - checked ping and packet loss - all ok and normal Ping in at 30.  Took another mission - same thing happened again.  Came back on as VOID Guardian - all ok and no aparent problems.  Changed to other character - tried one of the "new" Jump Holes in UK2 and got half way through and it bombed with the same message as before.  Got back in and went to Omicron Gamma - np. Docked and headed for Omega 41 - np.  Tried to get to Omega 5 - crash - same thing again. Back to the PC desktop screen and the same failure message.  Server is still up so is it me or something I am attempting to do that is causing this - Would be glad of any sensible suggestions.

haha well atleast you can log on to the server! all i can do is read this message that stops me from gettin to the character screen which says :
             "i'm sorry, but your were unable to connect to the server, this is usually caused by the server going offline while you tried to connect, or you are having internet problems. "

   i'm not having internet problems  >:P  :-w
i've been seeing this message since i left my comp with my char, docked at a spacestation and returned about 10 mins later to see that i'd been kicked from the server.. prob. from idling lol this was all before the server went offline to get fixed

I got a brief run down from STRAIL as to what the problem is. Aparently there are problems with the Character files - you wont loose your characters, they just need "cleaning up"...Reason mine does the gate trick is that the gate locations are different in the game to the ones on my character files.  This can also cause the whole fiasco with characters disappearing and with others being unable to log on.  Thats about as untechnical as I can make it. Whilst its no fun for those unable to get online I hope its a dawn on the horizon for the fixes Strail is working on as we speak.

We should club together and send him on a holiday to the Bahamas when all of this is done...!
