Ive been away for 6 weeks and come back with a fresh perspective on both life and FL.

Wheres all this hostility coming from, I see moaning, arguing, and no game related posts. My last server went down the same way, new players will browse the forum and say, Nope not playing there.

Im saying this in the open with a small echo of Zues' post.

Strail you are the man, thanks mate for keeping it running. Everyone else behind the scenes. Thanks.

I don't even reply anymore. Well not as much anyway. It's a waste of my time. Post a good thread and I am with you. Otherwise spend your aggressive energy to do what this server is meant for: Shooting peeps. That's what I do.

In the light of the above: Naval, Army and other 'good' forces might wanna send some forward scouts to the Alex Gate area. Rumor has it that a number of -=REAVERS=- are preparing a raid concentrated on that area. As far as -=REAVERS=- are capable of preparing such operations. No doubt their only goal is to slaughter as many pilots as they can, eat their flesh and hang their bodies on the hulls of their ships.

Let's keep this one on topic please as Hatchet's post is a very constructive one.
When provoked (especially on the forums a place of debate) you can always expect some moaning and arguing nowadays.
Why? Because it has become a habit over the years on this forum (sad but true)
It's a similar situation to the pointless political debates wich in the end will lead to nowhere
I'm not saying that i am a saint regarding this, as a matter of fact i had my fair share of flames to point out some things i don't agree upon.
What i was refering to was the -=REAVERS=- clan wich in my opinion took life shortly after the banning of another clan and is just copying their behavior.(it's like replacing an original painting from let's say Michelangelo or da Vinci with a fake one)
To my surprise 3 of the Void staff (if i'm not mistaken) are members of this clan.Now aren't the VOID's suppose to be the "good guys" of this server,helping others out and making sure to keep things in order?
@Hatchet i do agree with you on this matter and sorry for bringing this off-topic.

Nice m8!  Fact is: I think  i am guilty 4 killing a piece of FL and Void,with posts made with good intentions, but totally useless,and my conclusion is We Are the Freelancer and Void Destroyers, not the age of Game!
We players,who waste our time with destructive and useles posts,argues and moanings that  have bad influence in game and on forum. Depends on us if we decide to start playng this game, and as i said in the past, "Shoot Don't Talk!" Guns can argues 4 Y!
I made my decision: In the future i will post only 4 helping players, or 4 salute some m8s, or if i will need Help!
My hope is if we try play 4 Fun, and we remember -Be Polite is nice and easy,maybe our grand childrens will use our game chars,and Strail grand childs will be the bosses who maintain the order here!!!! Nice idea no? Please lets help him 4 God sake!!!!!!!! [-O<  [-O<  [-O<

In my cartoon ship, Ive never moaned, complained about being killed or said a bad word to anyone in space in my 4 years of playing FL, and Im really proud about that. So in my opinion I can preach a bit.
Now before any RAF get in and say I do loose my temper, yep. In the general running of the clan I have been known to throw a wobbler.

Now shon's right here with the not being punched in the face bit. Soooo seeing that we cant react, why argue? It's not even a popper argument. It's text on a screen.
Look at it this way. Why bash your keyboard with venom typing in a rant when the person reading it is probably laughing,eating a snicker in his boxer shorts. Isnt this the kind of reaction you are trying NOT to get. Now I posted a shot my missus took of me playing FL. Jeez i looked a geek. Headset, glasses, fat gut hanging over my shorts. yep I was in my shorts. I mean if someone see me like that they wouldn't bother arguing with me.

My perspective. Life is too short. Im not preaching peace and love if you dislike someone you have never met in person. But I am preaching enjoy what you can when you can. Its too short for arguing.

What players have is a server forum and community to engage with.

What you all do with that is entirely up to you as individuals, however, your posts and your reactions either influence the readers positively or negatively. If you post in a hostile and negative manner you will receive posts equal to yours by others. If you post in a manner that encourages others to post, you will get a likewise response.

What I find difficult to comprehend is the people who continue to post in a hostile or inflamatory way and seem surprised when they get it back by the shovel load. There are always people who we/you dont get on with in such a large community, however, how you deal with it is down to you and the way your post in both the content and tone is "seen" by other people.

I'm not without blame either, however, when it comes to people constantly posting negative stuff I get irritated with them because I come here to read about interesting and fun stuff about freelancer and the server, not bickering, negative or inflamatory stuff over and over by the same people.
