Vista 64bit

Ok im running vista ultimate 64bit installed freelancer fresh install and the game loads for a second then i get the microsoft windows little window saying Freelancer has stopped working, any help or suggestion would be appreciated

Well, I used to run Vista.

Do you have UAC turned on?
When you installed the game, did you run it as Administrator?
Try running the game in XP compatability, might just push it.

Maybe a graphics problem?
I'm not too sure, Windows 7 is better anyway.......

UAC is switched off, compatability mode for xp is on\

To be honest, try this.

Uninstal freelancer.
Delete EVERYTHING to do with Freelancer you can find.
Reinstall

Try that, its the only thing i can think of.

ur freelancer folder is corrupted, do what was said above ^^

uninstalled freelancer, reboot, regedit - remove frelancer entries, reboot, reinstall freelancer, reboot, no luck any other suggestions?

i had this problem also and you know what the problem was flmm and vista 64 ultimate really dont like each other.

Although, did you delete the registry entrys for Freelancer?

I think 64bit pc's R cool, but 64 bit OS's R Trashes.
I've tryed Win 7 ultimate 64 bit on my Pc. After install, it works cool. But after i installed utilitaryes like Winamp or Nero(last editions,it works like nightmare.I asked some specialists :why???
Answer was: 64 processors R cool , but software producers cant make propper soft 4 those processors...Dunnonow, but every m8 of mine, had same experience.
