The Road Too Traveled

Heavy personal matters have kept me totally focused on the important things for the past couple of months. Advice at the time had me setting the Void aside for a while, and I have done just that. And to tell the truth, I have missed it very little. And as such I find myself now thinking this is the end for me. I think this road has run its full course, ending on a hilltop somewhere overlooking a view of all that I have traveled in getting here and I think this is as far as it goes. I have no regrets. I have good memories. I have good friends. I have a fond place in my heart for the community. And I dare say I leave no enemies behind. Well, none of consequence anyway.

I will continue to stay in touch with Vector-X as far as my duties of paying the bills are concerned. He knows the score as far as my removing myself from active participation of the Void is concerned, and he still has my word, and I think still has faith in it, that I will continue to carry on my duties.

So although it might not be "goodbye" it's definitely a hearty CYA. I'll drop in once in a while to say hello. But keep this in mind: We've come a long way as a server and as a community. Remember it's just a game you play, and when you "die" you always get to click and try again. There's nothing at all about worth getting upset about, losing friends about. Too many people leave on bad terms. What's the point in that? Come and play or not, but leave the attitude at the door, have fun, let others have fun, and keep it in perspective. Remember that if you boil down all the rules, as few as they are, they come down to one thing: Respect. It's really that simple.

 :) Heading for that same hilltop mate! Im house-hunting, sorting out work, deciding where to live, deciding what direction to take with my future, attending to family emergencies, both medical and financial.
So apart from the bad connection Im not getting the "playtime" I used to.  I dont want to see the VOID disappear and Im not going to say "Goodbye" as I hold my duties as ADMIN / VOID close to my heart.  If the house move works and I get signed up with a better ISP (BT very probably if they will give me "free" calls to the US for a monthly fee of no more than £5!) then I will very well return with a vengence in the hope that you have not been playing with matches and ruining a perfectly good Freelancer Server!

I will drop by - I did last night for a bit till the %Loss went through the roof and dropped my connection ( Hi Shaz! thanks for the greeting!)

Mate  - you and I connected.  Its still there though its been quiet of late - we have much to deal with.  I will make it to your doorstep one day. Sooner rather than later....! God Willing!
Keep a cold Root Beer in the fridge for ole Zeb, and get a line sorted so we can go fishing - you have much to teach me!

I havent been here for a while and just dropped in to see what the forums are saying these days.  You know me more than anybody else here my old friend and I would like to think I know you pretty well too.

You will be sorely missed here by all.  You have gave so much to this place , especially in your first 2 years when you racked up some serious game time.  Alot of the newer players will not really know you or all that you have done for the void.

We havent been in "the black" together for a long while and that is the one regret I do have.

Good luck for the future and I hope the Redhead is well.

I have an old email address of yours and wasnt sure if it still used. So that is why I have posted here.

I remeber years ago everybody was discussing a legends topic where te great players would be mentioned.  You would be first on my list.
