Void mod not activating

I have got the newest mod and i have it downloaded, however, i cannot get the mod to activate. I keep getting:
"
Error: problem activating 'The Void:2115 v8'
Look in the log for more details.

Do you wish to restore backups? (strongly recommended)
"
Can anyone please tell me what i have done wrong? I really want to join the wide wide world of freelancer.  :)

I downladed the mod and unzipped it in .."my freelancer's mod manager location"\mods\Void2115v8. It works.

In case it stills not working:
1st and very important!, write your MPID(multiplayer identity number) in a piece of paper!. It's in Start>Programs>Microsoft Games>Freelancer>Examine my account ID
Write it in your Freelancer CD box. You'll never lose it that way.
Uninstall freelancer and reinstall it again. Activate mod, enter Void, and pay me a Liberty ale in Manhattan.  ;)

If u're using Vista I think you should do all this changes as "Administrator".

Anyway, before doing any installs/uninstalls check other threads here in forums. I'm not very experienced in such problems.

Another way you could do this would be to directly unzip the mod into your FL folder, but this has some side-effects such as... not being able to unmount it that way.

If you want to get rid of the Administrator problem in Vista do this..

Control Panal
Search.. UAC
Tern UAC off

this seems like a corrupted fl install, maybe from playing other mods, do as ppl suggested.

Thanks for the tips. i will have to try it when i get home from school.  :) I will go through my whole computer and take the whole thing off. If it doesnt work i may just give up. Then i will work on actually buying the game. thanks

use fresh install before you activating the new mod
you will know your FL not causes the problem

erase all void mod from modmanagger. DL the mod again. extract it. activate

if not working then let us know

Well as of right now, i cant get my iso of Freelancer to work i did something wrong. I may have to wait until i buy the game to continue. which will not be long. Thanks for the help.
