RP for X's causing confusion

I am not sure what Team means to most people but to me it means when I pay tax, ONE mill in tax to a Team of X's one would think that that would be enough but some felt like destroying me any way. Don't know whether your confused about your own Character name that implies that you operate as a Team or maybe all X's need to post there RP so there is no confusion on how you all operate on the server.

A Void wide standard would be appreciated.

You ask for Tax, they pay Tax, they pass unarmed.
Not difficult.

My pirate char offers even escort to traders or assistance of any kind after they pay the tax for me. hopefully this kind of pirate behavior will spread all over the Void.

Be pirate is not equal: you taxing players for money only, it's more likely an RP and not about real ingame money making ^^

Hopefully you focusing on this kind of problem too but no RP rules can force the players to do PROPER RP if we can't do it on our own ...:/
some command and warning in the console or a hour invulnerability for the trader or so

Well, I guess I can understand both sides. One million is pocket change for one pirate, let alone three (or more) of them. A trader would expect to pass unharmed if he pays one of the pirates. They should've said that they want the million per player, not per group :) The rules are a bit vague on this point... There's nothing forbidding a group of pirates to each ask the victim separately for tax.
A bit odd that this has happened without much communication, though... let me guess, was it the "tax 1m" variety? :P

The Vagu clan does applogise for any mishaps you may have experinced will being taxed however the vagu clan rp demands that all pirtaes in the group be paid. This is not against server rules as it is currently posted. if this policy needs to be changed i hope that an ADMIN will post and tell me otherwise. this style of rp i s benefical to the whole server for two reasons, the first, fear of pirates is up and this makes our rp more fun. the second is that it gives antipiracy clans a real reason to hunt pirates down. I am sorry this caused you inconvience but we are pirates and being kind is not in our rp.

I think then its just a mater of correct statement in game..

PAY TAX OR DIE or PAY TAX TO US OR DIE

The problem is more complex than what appears to be. There is the issue of "tax limits" as well.
( A group of 5 pirates taxing 1 trader below a particular level,in such a case would the group be considered as one pirate entity & so 1 overall tax or multiple taxes for each pirate would come under tax limit rule.)

In future it would be be good if Vagu clan actually mentions it clearly- "PAY TAX TO EVERY GROUP MEMBER OR DIE".

Its the responsibility of the pirate,IMO, to say whether its "1 mil" or "1 mil per pirate".

Most people assume that if you pay 1 mil to one guy then there won't be any problem.

Anyway,the current rules have to be simplified.

I see the point of the VAGU clan. Giving good reason to lawful clans is the spirit of RP
i think if you are 3 in a group. then the team leader ask the trader for 3 mill and the rest is make sure the trader wont escape. after you got your money then share with the rest of the group.
If you alone then ask for 1 mill only... who not wish to pay this funny litle money deserve to die^^
Confusion solved. just imagine yoursef into the trader's shoes every time you asking for tax^^

So people here think its OK to get jumped on by a group or Pirates and then pay tax to each member of that group!

Ive never refused to pay tax, ive quite often asked the pirate where he wants me to come and pay if ive died and respawned elsewhere or just /sendcashed it to them but only if the pirate RPd a pirate.

Sorry VAGU but your idea of shouting "tax 3 mill" is not RP to me. Ive run into your guys alot and getting spammed to death by a group of 4 with CDs followed by spammed to death by missiles/torps and then a token tax demand is not in the spirit of RP.

My char Chiggy is level 77, thats a 3 mill tax. There is not a chance in hell im going to pay you guys 12 mill after getting spammed to death. I would happily pay double that if there was some form of RP but im afraid spam, spam, tax 3mill dont cut it for me!!

I pray that the new and updated server rules are here sooner rather than later because they are needed right now.

500 k tax only (or even 200k)
Lower cargo hold for traders to encourage them to actually pay tax knowing that tradeing is hard earned cash (a trader should earn a max of 20 mill an hour or even lower)
balanced comodities - buy at 300 sell at 1050 max (similar to 2112 routes)
money wipe (just spoke to a guy who abused diamonds+gold in Leeds he had two chars lvl 90)
Pirates should not be allowed to tax in groups (ex: 3 pirates = one payed tax only)
They should be allowed to chase and kill targets in groups but not tax 3x
