So, I understand that come October 15th, there'll be a newer version out? Should I wait until then to download it instead of the one now and have to do it all over again?

Better wait I quess, coz within one or two years - as usually, come a next mod and you will be obliged to download mod again.

yes there will be the final version of the mod, so indeed you might wanna wait until then.

Dude, you lost that question above that.  :)
Why someone want waiting three or four days for the final mode.
Because at the end, the final mod doesn't need to be the final mod for sure.
And as same as in your answer so indeed you might wanna wait until then he can waiting all life for certainty coz during weeks, months, years he will be obliged for download next mod again. And it is for sure.
I am afraid download mod and join the game today is better then wait days for something like a finally the final mod.

links to final version of v9 mod have been updated in the first post by alphawolf. torrent download coming soon.
as usual, deactivate and delete the old mod.
note: any additional bugfixes that may be required will very likely be a patchfile and not another full mod.
the server switch will follow shortly.
