@Xenon - I PM'd you and THEN read what you have written here.  This is being written AFTER I replied to your PM.  AND you reported the post. Maybe you should have PM' d me first.  My comments are being made here as the -=REAVERS=- clan leader and NOT in the position of VOID Guardian.  Yet again you are trying to tell me how to do my job.  To quote your own words to me from your own web site  "You Dont Have any Authority here" - so  Xenon, please stop acting like you have any here.

Your so called "secret" trader wing was never a very well kept secret thanks to many of your players who were very careless when changing "suits"  - they were spotted many times and some even openly discussed their allegence to ESF even going as far as telling the "ickle new player" they were talking too who they actually were! The "ickle new player" was for most part either one of my own clan members in disguise or ME. (We have had the debate about ESF having AoF trader characters before.)

EVERY post I make criticises ESF?  Nah - you are not that important believe me.
I am not going to enter into an "off topic" debate about this.

@ Hash: I appreciate your candor and the points that you raise are important - but if you are going to point the finger of  "inacuracy" at -=REAVERS=- then I suggest you leave AoF and make your own trading CLAN.  Then you can argue the toss.

Those that were on the server at the time the idea of -=REAVERS=- was raised will remember the reaction that it caused.  Remember also WHY the -=REAVERS=- came about.  People were begining to get bored.  The more experienced players were getting fed up with the pettiness being shown by some clans and their leadership and were leaving the VOID - as a result things went pretty quiet for a while with the VOID being dominated by one or two factions alone.  This made for a pretty boring time all round.  -=REAVERS=- came into effect  AT THE REQUEST of the players on the VOID - or at least those of you who were whinging about the departure of certain players.   They may not believe me but I have a GREAT deal of empathy for what happened to them and it led to the rise of the "if you get shot - SUE THEM!" mentality. I have taken on board the words of warning that were delivered to me when we started out and they were wise words because most of what they predicted has happened. We have survived by sticking to the SILENCE rule as best as we can and we have not put ourselves out to "mess" with people - but believe me it has been VERY TEMPTING to go down that line at least once or twice.  Some people feel that VOID and ADMINS are here to do their bidding and treat the VOID as if it was their own God GIven playground and heaven forbid that ANYONE - including VOID or ADMINS should ever think otherwise...!

-=REAVERS=- was in no way intended to become anything more than an experiment - and as far as I can see we haven't done too badly, certainly down the line of having both sides in the debate turn on us.  Suits me fine.  Bring it on.

One word from ADMINS and the -=REAVERS=- clan is history.  If the ADMINS decide that we are Rogues and are therefore illegal on this server then I will happily disband the whole idea.   This was the agreement made with the ADMINS, with whom I consulted at the start.  I will not hesitate to abide by their decision.  So Xenon if you want rid of -=REAVERS=- then I suggest that you get a petition together and get the VOID to gang up on us and put us out of business...oh hang on - that would be harassment wouldn't it...?  

Like URAMI says, This is a lof of fuss about nothing.  As to new  people not knowing what the clans on here do - then MAYBE they should do their research first and CHECK the clan areas before venturing forth into the VOID and then complaining when they get shot at.

As to me abusing my role as VOID Guardian? I have discussed many of my decissions with those in authority. I do not have to discuss them with others particularly when they make accusations and cant abide by  decisions placed upon them by the VOID Guardians.  We are not toothless puppets  - just in case you hadnt noticed.

Now for pity's sake  - tighten your belt so your trousers dont fall down and get on the server and play as soon as it comes back up.....!

Yes indeed it is a good idea if clans that have a RP status have that tag at the end of their callsign, like [CLAN]-Your_Name-[X] kind of format, but sometimes clans change RP we've just seen that happen recently. I've posted a list of proposed RP tags HERE based on my long experience with them. Inventing new tags such as [E] isn't advisable as they will mean little to the new player, and not help clarify an action they see, based on RP. What I do recommend is my tag suggestions be used widely for individual players and a section of the server's main web page be added which lists the RP of clans so that new players can, at a glance, see who RP's as Pirates and who as Navy etc. etc. One stop shop for all clans as it were, I know when I returned I did have difficulty knowing who was what. Look at the recent confusion where one clan confirmed that they were indeed Mercenaries and other long-time players showed surprise and thought they were Order all this time.

A Clan = RP list on the main page would be a great way to help new players.
Very helpful to know who RP's as Nomads for example, they aren't Human even!

(so long as clans don't flip-flop every other week and drive the admins crazy  ;)  )

Yet again you missed the point of my response to the topic.  ESF have players that are part of AoF - AoF is not a clan therefore it is not breaking ESF's own rules - correct? I dont agree with it, but then I'm not in control of AoF anymore.  As to any of this being a "secret" and it spoiling your game play then maybe you need to stretch that fantastic imagination of yours a bit further and try a different approach.  If what I have said is spoiling your game play then it can't  be very well thought out then can it?
If you are going to play the "espionage" card and get all "secret" about things then expect some Counter Espionage to come your way.  It was one of the reasons I set AoF up the way I did and I had arranged a string of paid informants and snitches, so dont get all bent out of shape because your little "secret" got found out.  

I posted the comment about ESF and AoF because it points to a DIRECT flaw in HASH's argument about the -=REAVERS=-   That was the only reason for mentioning it.  You appear to have a very overblown picture of how important you actually are here on the VOID. When you start to believe your own propaganda then its time to start worrying.

If you are mentioned in any of my posts more than most then its probably because you set yourself up for it.  As to it being 99% of the time, I think you are suffering from exageration-itis.

You seem to feel that you are beyond any criticism.  As to your players initialy being careful about changing character, well I beg to differ - some of them even spoke to me and TOLD me who they were even before we had our little friendly discussion about ESF using AoF as a Trader Wing.

You have and continue to make accusations about my abuse of my VOID role. I have yet to be confronted with any substantiated proof of this. As VOID Guardians we are called to make decisions that are bound to make us "unpopular" and this wont stop until people can take their medicine and abide by the decisions made. I didnt take this role to make friends. I took the role that was offered in order to prevent people walking roughshod over others and feeling that they can get away with it.

These accusations of  "power abuse"  normaly occur when it has anything to do with ESF.  If you continue to do this then you face me with no other choice than to stop any form of discussion with you as it appears to be a completely pointless excersise as you will always take the high moral ground and come at it from a position of Sainthood, trying to place yourself above any criticism whatsoever!

Get down off your high horse and stop taking every criticism to heart.  If I behaved the same way EVERY time someone criticised -=REAVERS=- I would be spending my week at the local nut house to be let out on weekends for good behaviour!  I felt that on this occasion HASH had taken a side swipe at the -=REAVERS=- and then quickly backtracked and I was not about to let the subject remain unanswered.  At the mere mention of ESF you have stuck your nose into a thread without actually considering the contents and coming up with a half way sensible comment.  You portray a very selfish attitude towards the VOID and I am sorry if this offends you but your behaviour certainly gives off the impression that you feel you can do what you please and heaven forbid that anyone call into question your motives and actions.  Certain members of your clan have taken this as carte blanche to misbehave and have been  caught doing so.  Incidents were sorted out quietly and saved a great deal of embarassment to the members in question.  You have benefited from MY impartiality more than you will ever know or appreciate, as well as that of the other VOID Guardians.  Dont Push Your Luck.

I am done discussing this sore point with you. Until you wind your neck in I have nothing further to say to you.

Confusion still here, I try to explain as I see it:

1.-You dont need any TAG in VOID for playing, killing, trading...... You only need TAG for taxing
2.- If you use R tag it is because you wanna RP and you wanna be KOS for everybody, clans dont use R tag because it is just a SINGLE PLAYER RP
3.- Clans dont need any TAG in VOID for playing, killing, trading...They only need TAG for taxing
4.- When an evil clan kills players IT IS NOT ROGUE, JUST EVIL
5.- All RP respecting the server rules are allowed, and dont need TAG (except pirates)
6.-There are some clans very evil and old here, they are here befor R tag was accepted

Well in sense REAVERS n AoF face a similiar kind of accusation,REAVERS were told they are a Rogue clan but they denied this as well explain themselves why they are not countless of time,same thing wif AoF,we were told that we are a CLAN but we explain ourselves why we are not a clan and that we are an ASSOCIATION countless of times so...to be fair we all shall acknowledge and understand that REAVERS are not a ROGUE clan but EVIL and that AoF are not a clan but an ASSOCIATION,is that fair enough??

If so lock this topic before it goes any longer as wat urami says,an argument that comes to no end...

@ Wolfie - this "flame" was NOT started by me.  I made the mistake of using ESF as an example in regard to HASH's mistaken  assertion that -=REAVERS=- were illegal due to being a Rogue Clan.  All I did was point out what most people were aware of and that was ESF with AoF traders characters.  Mate - get your facts right and check who was the first one to post an off topic "moan" about ESF being "picked on".  Like I said - check with your boss and if you have nothing constructive to add then why add to it?  Now, until the server comes back up, I'm off to hug a tree and drink organic beer in my non animal organic shoes with my hemp shirt on.....
