No offence..but the mod reversion wasn't a good idea. Just a wrong step.
I would say, you need to revert back and go to v9. It had really shaped well, we had some activity, much more than one what the server experiences now and we could have build more on that.  I planned to return but then the mod reversion happened.....now i have quit altogether.

It is too late... as seriously, 99% of you are living in the past, almost delusional. Instead of looking forward we went backwards and the result is there to see.

Don't get me wrong, i don't want to offend here.. but it really is time to go, time to let go and pull the plug.  :-<  
I don't like to say this but the fact of the matter is that Void has been dying for a long time and right now it is on its death bed. This is irreversible. Games like Black Prophecy are to be released soon which could put the final nail in the coffin.
I would say Void should go out with a bang! One last time- Scream On!

By keeping the server online in such a state it really is a disgrace to what Void once was. People are still putting in their money here and it is a waste, it is being wasted on a poor community that will never learn its lessons, hard earned money being wasted on a dying server of an old game.
There is some kind of moral responsibility on the people who run Void to put a stop to this. Yes, people are voluntarily putting their money, but is it worth it?

A lot of people here including perhaps Strail are living in a state of denial. Instead of accepting the harsh and cold reality, people are denying it. Everywhere you see , the existence of Void seems to be forceful, prolonging the life of Void just for the sake of prolonging it. In other words, keeping the server up just for the sake of doing so. The moment you don't keep the server up for fun, you need to pull the plug.

I would say die with respect and dignity when there are players still around than die when there are no players around to mourn and remember.

Some day the server has to be shut down forever, don't let that day happen when there is nobody to witness it.
Respect and dignity is important and there is no shame in pulling the plug because the journey was great and enjoyable, we laughed and we cried, we fought and we made friends, we did everything in the black starry space. But time has come to move on. :-<

My journey here has come to an end. I hope the Void decides when its journey will end. Sooner the better.

I think about dying, and so on.
Void is not different, it's just another Freelancer server.

Well I must agree with Geromix. And also the Forum is ono decline too. There are + - 10 people posting, 1-2 new topics, I remember when every time I visited the forums there was allways a new post, new topic, activity - and I visit the Forums every day 3-5 times. Now, only this well...Q_Q topic...and it is bad.

Sorry Mr Asmo but im in the 10% that liked the previous version. (i think 10% is a little of the mark)

I gave this 2112 a try but its not for me. There are better modded servers out there. Sorry, but thats just my opinion

Even though I don't play on this server as often as all of you have/had, the Void mods, any of them have always been good ones. Don't forget, you played this one first, before the last one was created. I feel for those that lost all their credits and stuff and I didn't have nothing much but, was building up to it really fast. I do miss my Sovereign though. I got a freighter that has the same size hold and can work with it as well. Just not fight in it as good. Well, two Nomad battleships have gone down with it already but, they were only piloted by NPCs.

Just the general look of this mod is reason to keep playing it, it's great to fly around in it and see all the fantastic work that was done and most of it looks better than in many of the other mods I've played. The NPCs are very challenging, the systems are something to see while flying across them and they look like no other. The ships fly good too. I can see that a hardpoint or, two may need to be upgraded and the missiles and torps need to track better and cause more damage but, other then that, it's a good mod and everything seems to function ok to me.

Updates don't happen over night and when they do, problems exist.

As long as the server is up, I'll be here off and on. One new player just joined the server and I'm sure, there'll be more.
