Freelancer - The Void

Hi all,

I was chatting with DC Slayer about lag in Sparta and i said about the city shield possibly giving out lag or making things abit laggy when there is tonnes of people there fighting.

So what i have done is a poll to see what you guys think about a new base instead of the deadly abandon city with its shield. Maybe we could have a FreePort 7 style base but alot bigger and that would probly help out with some lag.

So please vote, and share your views if you have voted.

If we get enough votes to remove it and try something else, then can an Admin, or staff tell us if it would be possible to try something new?

as we came to conclusion, that shield is only making us all lag, and it would be cool 2 get another base, no need to move europa from there, just the base...

oh and another thing, it would be cool if u left 1 or 2 rocks, it a memory of old good times

Since I don't play so much at the moment I haven't seen anything of this lag, but since I and Vegeta are lords of lag (remember ) i honestly do not mind.

Yep, i think a new base would be gr8. Yesterday there was some fights in Sparta and everybody jumped like hell.
Maybe a new base will solve some the lag problems in sparta.

I voted Yes because it can also be a pain when you hit it and same goes for the one in Dyson sphere.

NO--Leave the Abandoned City  alone.

Personally I think that the Abandoned City looks great and since it is a "rarity" among bases it should be kept.

I have not been too involved in PVP since my arrival on the Void but now that I belong to HKD I am trying to learn how to PVP and I AM getting to like it so you'll see me asking people for more PVP's in the future.

Discounting Sparta and New York there are 112 other systems to PVP in. If the shield is causing such lag (havn't really noticed) and is difficult to navigate around when fighting just move into another system. I believe that is the purpose of EFZ.

Should I want to PVP there isn't an issue of me traveling a little more to do so. Just my 2 cents and no I am not trying to incite a riot on the forums.

Yeah I also think that having base instead of big city with nasty shield should help a lot. It really can reduce lag, and if not, it could help in FPS problems those have some players with worse computers.

When I don't have any lag in Sparta then I have probs with my FPS anyway, it's going down every time I see shield on my screen...seems my graphic card don't like that city shield so much  :-?

BTW yes there are many systems to fight in, but Sparta has been always pvp/war system.

Liman are you trying to make this post go bad or bring bad karmah to it,  yes there is that reason but this isnt about that now is it, this is a simple poll, either vote yes.no, or dont know. If you dont want to vote then leave this topic alone, simple but effective  ;)

Anyways, if most say "yes" to get rid, then we can make a new post about certain designs of a new improved Sparta!

I know i have a few idea's and i bet a few others do too.

Also, Liman it will be exactly the same as Nomad1 But without Nomads, monkeys lagging the place out. So it isnt gonna be as laggy as you would think.

Voted No. Isn't this what the EFZ was created for, you want less lag fight there instead.

yea verm....but EFZ is only used for events and nothing more...
sparta has been for ever the center system in void...so we just want some changes

Why ask the A-Team to go to all the trouble to change the system when they are busy enough. Why not just like Verminard said and just move to EFZ, that is why it is called Elite Fight Zone.
