Freelancer - The Void

ok we are getting some interest in the stu role play and the convoy event. so we are going to strike while the iron is hot. this weekend may 24 or 25.

what i need is a count of how many can make it on each day. the day that we can get the most togeather will be the day.

also i can run from 12 noon to midnight my time that is 5 hours behind england so let me know the best time for most.

if you have a good long trade run please pm it to me i have them all on eagleone but i want to use some that you all use we will keep it simple the first time. i need the run from wre to were, the commodities on both ends of the run and the profits  and  rep with what  npc. remember most do not have a nomad rep on there trade ships so no nomad run please.

we will then decide thursday  were we are going to run and let everyone know what rep you need, so you can fix it if need be. we will announce the location only an hour before the run starts so pirates will  have to scamble to find us. i hope to get alot of pm's and we are looking for at least 6 trade ships but the more we have the better. i know of 4 stu right now and anyone can join this event to see if you like it.

on my way out the door but i wanted to mention also any clan that would like to be our excorts please just post here along with a bid and how many ships you can provide cover with.

ie. let say liman says 4 s squad can have 6 ships for 3 million. something like that for an example. thanks  :)  i want to have different clans excort us during different convoys. so all the navy can get in on this and order and the ns. to promote role play and clan play.

also you pirates can post and let us know you will be out there looking for us if you like, i think this could be alot of fun for the entire server.  ;)

I remember when Elessar done one of these Events, shame i missed it but it sounded fun so you can count me in this and ofcourse i will be a Pirate ^^

I can do either Saturday or Sunday, but if you look at the amount of people on last Saturday it looks like that would be probly be the best day due to Sunday being a day of rest for most people.

If you need a Guard for the event, PM me and let me know Eagle, i'll see if I can make it.

I'll help with my EVENT character if it's setup till then, otherwise I'll be participating.

this sounds good but ive never heard of it before can soemone spell it out for me plz??? wht is the event involving and what is STU and im presuming tis on VOID

@KODIAK: What would you think of making a char and participating? Either trader, escort or pirate; your choice ofcourse. It would be a blast to have you and would do the PR for STU a lot of good if we had some of the Server Staff participating.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. We are happy to see this idea is welcomed so well by the community. I think we will do great this weekend. I can be in game on Saturday from 6PM till midnight GMT. Sunday about the same. About the same as Eagleone I guess.

This run will be our first. So there should be plenty of details to work out when we're done. That's why we would appreciate it if all of the participants could give their opinion about their experience. This way we could improve things on the next run. An appropriate thread will be made for that when the run has finished.

Dacia allready made a post in wich exprimed the will to escort the trader convoi.
If there will be sunday, then we can provide at least 4 fighters for escort. Thats a very pesimistic estimation. The optimistic is...around 8...or even more  

When you fix the time and day...we can tell more precise. Btw...we are GMT+2 hours.

ok i am back glad to see all the interest i will have all the details posted by thursday so everyone has time to make sure their char have the right rep to buy and sell. also dacia it looks like it will be sunday that much i am sure of as i have to go out of town for work friday and saturday. but will be here all day sunday.

hey ripper i appeciate the offer to help with your event char, but a bigger help would be if you were a pirate and kind of rallied them togeather to go after the convoy, we all know you are an old pirate and learned from some of the best.

as far as excorts go. well it might be alot of fun if we had dacia and a few more if they want to help. hey if we get 10 fighters maybe we can get 10 or more pirates to come after us and have a good old server blow out. the way i see it the more player involved the more fun this will be. i will run a trader. agian i have a couple of ideals for the run right now that goes thru 3 systems and pays real nice. but i am open to suggestion, it is not my event it is all of ours. just think of me as the guys putting all the puzzel togeather but i need more pieces so let the ideals role.

last thing for the event i am going to request that we be allowed to increase the tax just for the event. that should  make it just a little more interesting. bear can you check on that for us? say a million a trader.

zeus that is cool if we have serveral trade ships go ahead and help the pirates they are going to need it. i know some of the guys are using thoth not at's so it wont be easy for the pirates. some of this traders can shoot back.  my trader has 9 vulcans. can make short work of a fighter if i hit him.
