Freelancer - The Void

Spent some time cleaning up the boards from the spam thats been about.

Please report posts which are spam if you get a moment.

The server has been removed from the data center in Germany and is waiting an install in the UK, I havent mentioned anything as I needed to get it out of the German data center ASAP due to outstanding bills and costs and really didnt want to get to the point where it was held to ransom as though to speak.

I have been offered some space on a leased line which has a good connection and so I'm awaiting a "go-live" date.

So currently we dont have a live server to play on for the moment, maybe a few days/weeks we will but in the meantime we have the announcement from roberts on the project he's working on - see other posts about it.

Yaay good news. Thanks for informing us whats going on with the Void.

We had an active community ingame and on Forums too. Not so long ago, maybe a 1-1.5 years back the forum was a busy place, new topic, replies all the time. The server had a good player count too. We can see on RSI that the Voidians are still around, so many people posted in Void topic there.

If we start over and take aside and forget the differences and log in when the server will come back, it will can have fun.

Just look at the servers. They are stagnating. Only Discovery and 1-2 more are still active. Let's show the Fl community what a great server Void was.

Well Good News, I always kept the faith mate.

Great news! There will be new server again... but the mod is old and boring.

Could you not ask not just old players back, but old modders too? Strail, there is nothing bad in admitting that you don't have enough time to make a new mod alone, specially now with having to setup new server. There is nothing bad in putting pride away, and trying to talk with them for the good of the server. Their probably reasonable people, they helped you a lot before.

After mod change, nothing new happened with game, slowly every players got bored and left. Two years later, nobody online. What will change now? The Void needs new mod to keep old players who come back interested, and advertising to bring other players in.

Please, just think about it. As Zsoca said, start over, take aside and forget the differences. See who can help.

Theres no problem with getting modders back or people who are interested in doing another mod. I'm hoping that there might be a spike in interest again with the plans for the future of Chris Roberts game.
The main thing is that people remain positive.

I like what I see. I am sure that people from 4S will be glad to have where to come and meet each other again.
Hope that new topic for suggestion will start fulling up for up coming mod.

More great news! If you find any modders, then there is better chance that we will get new mod on the server, and more players.

But am I the only person who would like to see old modders here, back? If yes, then I'm not going to talk about this more. It is not my place to ask, and it is enough to know that there can be help and new mod in the future.

Yes guys, lets not get caught up in any old dramas or disputes, time for a fresh start for the countdown to SC, we need to get our practice in anyways! I don't know about you guys but it's been too long since I had a decent space battle.

I remember having them with 4s, saints, n*o etc, I will be once again flying the BBD flag when I come back on. I hope there's some ex-BBD still around!
