Freelancer - The Void

Hey guys,

I've tried hunting a few times over the years for a Freelancer Facebook group as it seems wrong that such a great classic of a game doesn't have a proper presence on social media. Doesn't help that the word 'freelancer' brings up a gazillion other unrelated groups in the fb search box lol!

I found a post at the starport mentioning 2 groups but the link is dead and I can't find any trace of the other one they mention.

So in the end I decided to make my own as over the years I've created groups for other ageing classic like Starflight, Master of Magic, and Sid Meier's Colonization which have been going quite well and have grown into nice little communities. You can find it here:

If there are indeed some existing Freelancer FB groups please let me know where they are so I can join. If there's some really big good ones out there that I've failed to find then I'll get rid of mine as they'll be no need for it!

I know we have a FL Facebook page The Voidserver and FL. Atm I use my tablet and I don't know the correct website but I'll post it later.

Ahh so there really is another one out there. All the other freelancer communities I've asked just had facebook news pages instead of groups so I've left my FL group up and its slowly growing.

Hmm I checked as it's been a few months and I appear to be stuck on pending. Guessing whoever looked after your page isn't doing it anymore sadly.

Haha it probably brought up a bunch of marketing freelancers that bug you all the time!... Anyways, yes it is quite sad that the game is not more promoted online, would be nice to have easier access. Charles G. wedding photo booth

yeah.. what happened here above is very similar to what happens with my Freelancer facebook group. It just gets BOMBARDED daily with join requests by people mostly in India looking for Freelance programming work. I setup security questions that post warnings and ask questions about the game but still the requests keep coming. Drives me NUTS!!!

BTW someone finally approved my application to the Void Freelancer facebook group. Sadly its very dead. Wonder if they get the same Indian harassment my Freelancer facebook group gets!
