Aussie or Asian players
Recently we had some interest from some players in Japan/China to run The Void over there.
As a result of this we had a bit of a discussion about The Void and making it more accessible to players who have a bad/poor ping to our server.
If theres any server ops in Australia/Asia/Africa who would like to take up The Void seriously, I would be more than happy to talk to them. If in these areas the Freelancer servers need a blast of fresh air or want to change what their running, ask the server ops to contact me please.
The Void has always been a single server mod, however, now that there are so many players from around the world, it makes sense to try and get them a better "Void experience" and share it.
So, players from Australia/Asia/Africa, have a think on it and speak to your local freelancer servers about it.
As mentioned before, only serious server ops or organisations contact me please.

An increase isnt needed in Australia. Australian servers are very much alive and well with a lot of international as well as local players.STrooper wrote:it will increase a lot the number of players on freelancer in those continents!
The thinsg that needs addressing is the boredom of the game these days, especially when there are games such as EvE Online out there. Freelancer just doesnt compare.
I have been directed here by one of my members. Although i am not 100% for the idea at this stage, i am interested.
I have created a character on your server (cpt_planet) to check it and i must say i am impressed. If i can get some in help as far as credits are concerned, i will explore some more.
As for discussing this further, perhaps it should be done privately?

Freelancer £10 one of payment
Eve E10 a month for the privaledge
Freelancer has a huge modding community who strive to improve the game by adding new things
Eve stuck as it is
Freelancer brainchild of Chris and Erin Roberts
Eve made by nobodies

I guess that would be why EvE is conintually growing with at a rate of about 10,000 users per 3 months and continues to win awards with MMORPG.com Player's Choice Awards?
As for them being noobs in designing...lol...hardly. 5000+ systems vs 40 odd?
EvE stuck as it is. Not quite. Regualr upgrades to build the game bigger and better than what it is happens on average of once every three weeks.
In saying all that, Freelancer is hardly dying as i elluded to in my first post. I merely pointed out that it can get a bit boring sticking with the same old same old (vanila). And it is for this reason i am hear. To investigate some options.

There are MANY reasons why EvE is so attracting. We could talk about the role play side, the adrenaline to risk all you ve been building if you want and the ability of the team to recreate an "alternative world" ...a new space digital illusion (there s even a Web Browser so you can surf the internet while you play)cpt_planet wrote: As for them being noobs in designing...lol...hardly. 5000+ systems vs 40 odd?
But probably it s not this one you 've just cited. Over 5000 systems in 500 MB?
Take a careful look at them ...and you ll realize why...
It looks like they r made with cut 'n paste and you do NOT definitely get the great sense of freedom of even half of a single FL system...
Both games are too different IMO....to even compare them
