Brawler - Sniper research :) (for Ripper, Bersecer&Jung)

I dont want to spam the Dyson post about box tactic, so I start this one:

I selected Sparta as the optimal system for my research
Because it is where ppls like pvping
Because good pilots use to be there

And today I was lucky so I could scann a lot of pilots, some known pilots others not so known. And these are the results:

23 pilots scanned, 1 hour time sat there, big battlle too

14 pilots using Brawling (1  pilots using  mixed) 61%
9 pilots using Sniper 39%

I know this is not a proof, but I am sure you admit that is not 70 - 30 as you said in the Dyson post.

Now if you wanna talk about it , go on, but I only change my mind if you show me that hipotetic 70 - 30

I couldnt scann some before they leave, and I am not going To include ripper, Bersecer and Jung Chang and some other I fought before (and I know what they use normally).

and allso note who wins more brawlers or snipers (tho its more about players skills than setup)

Moaner you post dont meant nthing. This is only 23 player. IN void is very much player. Get at least 200 player or more. Then made list who is brawler and who is sniper.


Then you will have result , that is litle player 23. You ned litle more player that you show real stats what player using more

I would suggest the easiest way to get an accurate answer is to create a 'poll post' asking which setup each players uses / or prefers to use (their main char).

You may not get every single player in game to post a vote but it's worth a try if you really want to know what players use.

I know the post / poll vote has been done before, maybe someone could start another one for data as of August 2007.  :)

I not really care what setup does any1 use, but i hear a lot bad words about snipers from brawlers, funny aint it? I dont get it...
Why are u guys talk about players setup? Brawlers can kill just like the snipers, i dont see the point.
9 use sniper the others brawler, so  what? Can any1 tell me why are everybody started to care with setups?

Just because it doesn't interest you is not a reason for being so negative about the post in fact I dont see any benefit from your post at all.

Plenty of newer players are interested in the setups that good pvpers use and IMO we should be passing on some tips on setups if its gonna make another players game more enjoyable.

You fall into the category of being a good pvper that newer players will observe and try and learn from, you should be setting a better example.

Ok, one theory why it seems there is less snipers online on the last 4 weeks...


Rumours of lasers being modifed on next mod has made some ppl quit of using them, those are now trying new setups, some with the original codename snipers (thors hammers / prometheus / cerberus etc..) others just went right forward to brawler style again.

Ok, one theory why it seems the statistics posted by moaner doesnt seem very right...

The ESF smelly players had said it all (sorry guys but I had to say this, I take my RP very seriously lol) the sample that moaner presented to us it's way too small too such an high population like we have in The Void (statisticaly speeching approach). I do share of the idea of taking notes on a couple of EFZ events like Maris said.

m8s I know that there are more ppl in VOID, I know that I only scanned 23 pilots. Most of them veterans, most of them most active ppl in VOID now. It is not a proof, it is just a little research, I scann all days ppl in sparta and nomad1 and there are similar numbers between snipers and snipers

Only one thing annoy me, some players here are sure that 70% of ppl use sniper AND THIS IS NOT TRUE.

I want to show you that maybe there are 50% snipers, maybe 55%, maybe 45%,, and it means that the server is pretty well balanced, and guns are well ballanced. Check it, see the server facts, and not imagine or just say a number because you like it, or because is good number to proof your opinion

I agree that the new ppl choice sniper, most of them see the power of that guns, and they dont thing about brawler or sniper, they dont know what that means IoI.

So if veterans  use sniper 50%, if a good sniper can be beaten and a godd Brawler can be beaten, then why ADMIN should edit Nomad Lasers or other guns in the next mod?????????. Sniper guns like the rest guns should be enough good to be used, if not nobody will buy it and we get only brawlers in VOID. And I love to have both type of fighters to choice

I have this to say and this is in no way a reflection on Moaner - good effort mate and I can see where you are coming from with this - However,  a famous quote:

"Lies! Damn lies! and Statistics" - truth is with the right twist you can make statistics say anything  - I am always wary of politicians that love to quote you statistics.!  Red - Stop Spamming. Xenon - stop rising to the little insults.  Kosmiker is just having some fun - dont take it so personally...!

Sniper Brawler Boxer Runner Zapper Freight trainer Spammer  Hounder Dock Pinner- WHATEVER..!  You set your boat up to suit yourself.  You place your setup to that which you are most comfortable using.  End of.
