The president election in US
I have tried to follow the candidate election in the US.
I am getting a bit worried, I can't pinpoint the candidates views of things, could anyone here please shortly tell me what they each stand for.
Doing a school project on it and need the help.

Burn pretty well nailed it there! Except I don't want Obama to win! In fact the only one I actually liked was Huckabee but he is out of the race. But that is the run down of the 2 sides if you are wanting in depth then I suggest you do look at their websites. If you really wanted to get detailed you can look up their voting histories and see exactly how many lies they are telling. And I will give you a hint there is only one of them who is lying about a lot of stuff! And it's not the men

Re: The president election in US
thanks you two, checked the candidates websites, got a lot of us full information
Though after reading about them I figured out that Strail might be a better president than either of them

Lol yeah our options are slim this election. But with all elections it is all about picking the lesser evil of the bunch! Good luck with your report you've got a lot to write about if you choose to!

Well, with a two party system, pickings are always slim, especially with no viable third party candidate this year.
Check out http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/issues/. They break down candidates' views on the issues pretty well. Best of luck with your project.

Politicians are very good at saying what they think you want them to say, just to get your vote. Personaly, if anyone wanted to be President as mucn as Hilary Clinton does they should be banned from taking office. Obama is all full of the "message" but as yet you couldnt pin a tail on what he is REALY about. John Mcain is an interesting one - scores big on the experience and war vetran front, but is he just another liberal in disguise? Much prefered Mike Huckabee and not just for his religious convictions either. I'm hoping for a Mcain vs Clinton rather than Mcain vs Obama. Mcain will wipe the floor with Billary. Bill Clinton in the Whitehouse for a second time? Nah... no thanks!
Thats one heck of a topic you got to do for school thats for sure. One thing is true - it is important to excersise your right to vote - many people sacrificed much in order to bring you the right to vote in an unbiased electoral system, make sure you honour them by using your franchise. If you dont vote then you dont get to moan about how it is with the Government...! No Vote? No Say.
Look out on Fox News (cable / Satelite) for an all round hard hitting view of the Campaign trail. Whilst these guys have a more conservative view of things they are probably the best at presenting an unbiased view of what is happening unlike the very biased and liberal press, such as the New York Times and such.
Good luck with the project mate....! :D
