Good storyline. I'd reccomend an [ACID-RAIN] megathread, with everything you really need.





My personal translation, which Ive been typing up since I viewed this 15 minutes ago -



Many ages ago, there was a planet; Nibiru. The times were dark on Nibiru, and nuclear war broke out. The nations and continents clashed, with major parts of the world being blown apart every day. Eventually, none were left. In the wake of the war there was nothing but wasteland and blood. The once crisp and pure air was filled with noxious gases of all kinds, gases so deadly, toxic and thick that even a few moments of being unprotected would be your ultimate demise. Everything was bathed in a fine mist of green, and anything exposed during the war was turned into radioactive radiators. Now, when the war was finally over, the rain began. It rained for hours, days, months, and years. Never ending, the rain caught the green mist and the heavy gases. The acid rain pounded the planet and wore away everything it touched.

But.. not all hope was lost; A small band of survivors were left. They lived in the caves on the last piece of land still liveable. The air was still slightly radioactive, and still filled with enough of the gases to be deadly, but in the caves the air was fresher, cleaner. The cave mouth was sloped upwards, so the heavy gases would sink to the earth and never float into the cave. A strange and still unknown mineral absorbed the radiation quickly, and burried it deep in the ground. The rain was now no more than a constant drizzle.

After 43 of the 67 survivors sucumbed to illness, cold, radiation sickness, starvation, parasites, and many more unspeakable things, the survivors decided they would be prisoners no more. Their supplies have run almost completely dry, and they must venture out or die in the cave. It was a tough decision... risk a maddeningly slow and painful death from radiation sickness, or most definitely die in that god forsaken cave, with only a slightly less painful death.

The day had come. The first survivor stepped out into the light drizzle, and yelped in terror and pain. He shook all over, and everyone feared for his life. It turned out that nothing was wrong. The survivors had'nt touched water or felt rain since the war, other than the occasional drink from a cave pool. The man yelped in nothing more than terror for a new sensation. They all stepped out from their cave, shrouded in green mist, and rubbed their eyes.  They looked at themselves, turning their hands over and over. Nothing was happening. The longterm exposure to the radiation and rain had somehow altered their DNA. They were immune to the rain, and the radiation caused no damage.

Realising that their planet was nothing more than a hunk of radiated rock, they knew they must leave. The survivors ventured to the last remaining Docking Ring Launch Site. The 30ft thick galvanized neuroniate walls held up against the rain and radiation. The walls were built so insanely strong in preperation for a Nomad attack on their planet. They didn't want their only gateway sealed or destroyed.

Inside the Launch Station their remained one Rhino Freighter and one Patriot Light-Fighter, both with only half capacity energy cells and low fuel. They scavenged what they could and managed to get them in working order. Two survivors got into the Patriot and the rest huddle together in the cramped cargo bay of the Rhino. After launching they viewed their destroyed planet from above.. nothing but wasteland and despair, the thick green and grey clouds preventing them from seeing the ground. The survivors turned their backs on the planet they once called Home, and sped off at cruise speed.

Never turning back, they gathered all the resources they could find in the rest of Omicron Beta. They all bought their own ships, better armament, and supplies. They started an organization called [ACID-RAIN]. Well fitting.

But... while the bodies of the survivors functioned at just below normal efficiency, their minds were fried. The toxins were still flowing through their bloodstreams, still contaminating them. They were turned into half-crazed and slightly mutated humans. They have no feelings, no compassion for anyone but their brethren. All those who denied joining the organization fell to a quick demise.

To this day the survivors still roam all of Sirius, gathering resources and pilots; Always preparing for the war that raged on in their hearts. Be wary of these frightful and vicious fighters, for you too will certainly die if you deny their terms... and you will deny their terms. Terms so unspeakable that not even the survivors can speak about it. They live by one moto; Never Give Up, Never Surrender.
