Re: President election
I couldn't care less. They all have the same goal anyway: Money, power and world domination. And all at the expense of the honest, hard- working, tax-paying people.
For all I care, they would drop the biggest bomb they can find on there. Sorry for the harshness.

Tsk. Such words. So much that could be said...
Here's a thought: Being the newest civilization on the planet, made of all immigrants from all over the world and raised by the values of all those cultures that came with them, it's clear America learned well from its parents. It doesn't matter where you look in history about the people that moved to the "New World"... not one of them can claim there is no time in their history where they didn't rise toward domination in the world as it was known at the time. America is the sum of all it's cultural and historical parts.
The point is, don't confuse the people with the government.
Or you can look at it this way:
"There is no Good without Evil..."

Re: President election
To be honest, I didn't expect this topic to get this serious. That's why I kept my reply kind of shallow at first.
Please allow me to put in my - deep - thoughts on the matter.

Good argument. True, the call for world-wide power and domination can be heard by each and every one, and many nations have tried to pursuit it over the span of history.
The point is, don't confuse the people with the government.
Well, I was referring to the government, not the people ofcourse. I have spent some time digging in to the government history of the USA, and also came across many, many sources of information which never made it to the press for a variety of reasons. Concluding, it is my believe that the whole of the elite of electables is a corrupt group of people. Only the ones with the right means and connections seem to make their way to the 'top'. Regardless of how it may look otherwise to the crowd. And the same with the propaganda. Although different candidates may seem to have divergent goals and ideals, after elections they always seem to 'adjust' these goals to go with the majority, instead of carrying out their plans.
Just a little example: There was a catastrophical act of nature recently. Forgive me, I can't recall where and what exactly. (Don't I mean the Catrina event? :-? ) Now, after several years, the US government has still failed to give aid in the reconstruction of the homes and lives of the casualties involved. Sometimes, you can still see it on the news: the streets of the affected areas still look as though they were struck by a class 5 tornado just seconds ago. This, while literally billions of dollars of the tax payers money are being spent to help sustain the war in Iraque. All for the profit provided by the massive upgrade in weapons construction and trade, demanded by the raging war there.
So if it comes to politics on this scale, I am skepticism itself. Although I must admit that Obama has me second-guessing myself on this. He does seem to come across as reliable and true to heart. If I should pick anyone to address my vote to, it would be him. And I hope he will be the one grabbing the flag. Now let's only hope he sticks to his goals.

Sharp, as always. Got me. I stand corrected.
But seriously, Won't you agree that the amount of 'evil' in today's world is more then what's healthy for us? Switch on the TV and judge for yourself. It almost seems that everywhere you see, there's evil playing the dominant role. In my humble opinion, we could really do with a bit less of it. And the governments are the ones responsible for fighting against it. Sofar they have only proven themselfs as instigators of war. It sometimes even seems as if they are encouraging and supporting it...
Maybe the evil in this world is settled in the wrong places.
Oh well. You might think of my opinions as a bit far-fedged. Like I said, just my 2 cents on the matter.
Thanks for the input.
Carry on.

Re: President election
I'm going to be voting for McCain this November because he is the only candidate with any form of international experience, which has been one of our biggest problems these past eight years. McCain is the only candidate that I believe can get Congress to stop squabbling (as much). I also like his stance on pork barrel. We should not be paying for bridges to no where in Alaska. And the Iraq war... We've pretty much made things worse over there, but at this point just leaving the Iraqis without aid would be cruel. However, if Obama wins I'm not going to be crying. He's a good guy, but being a senator of 6 years isn't very much experience. But Hillary on the other hand.... yea....

Re: President election
ok this is what i think
i say that Barack Obama (the black guy)
or Hillary Clinton (woman)
should win it
why you ask?
well for many many many years
the white in the US inslaved the black
horible times for the black
no vote no power treated like crap
you get the idea
so for a black who was looked down by whites in the US
to become president is a BIG thing
there is also Hillary Clinton
she will be the fist woman to become president
back then womans dint have much power
and were the man's slave (sucks!)
so a woman becoming the first president in the world would be huge also
many people predict that it will be most a election for the first...
