Bats and bots and regenning

I hate to keep revisiting this subject but in the last 24 hours I have gotten loads of grief from people who call me a cheater etc for using bats and bots. Now I am not trying to justify my regenning because it is ok and I have said more than once unless its in a tournament or an arranged pvp I will regen. Now if in the opinions of some that makes me less than human  so be it but they are not going to like my answers.
    Now they repeatedely say they do not use bats and botys and its not acceptable or allowed on  this server. Let me ask Why do you load bats and bots then? If you load them that m eans you intend to use them. Today I fired on a pirate and as I did he regenned. I am sure he will have several excuses. The previous fight was over. I wasn't fighting you.Thats different etc. But it all boils down to excuses. What it comes to is most of these guys make up the rules that suits them. Just like that pirate asked if I had a fighter before He undocked could it be he only wanted to attack a frieghter not a fighter. I could have answered yes to the fighter question and I bet he would not have undocked. But there qwe get into speculation again.
 Let me end with this if you are not going to use bats and bots do not load them Hey I know petition the admins to block the sale of bats and bots.Have them removed from the server commodities then no one can use them. Now you [X] [R] and others what  is your answer to this

You can use batts and bots to escape an unwanted fight. However, if you regen after you have fired a single shot at your opponent, even if you have the intention of running, that is poor sportsmanship.

Here at the Void, it is an unwritten rule that every time you PvP, you are not allowed to regen, unless otherwise has been discussed beforehand.

You can use bats and bots to regen on the Void -the only exeption would be the Elite Fight Zone system where the use of bats and bots is not allowed
In an arranged pvp you better not regen as it shows a low mannered behavior and no respect towards your opponent.After the fight is over you can regen all you want
As for the [X] and [R] i wouldn't listen much to ppl wearing these tags as most of them don't even play accordant to their RP

Forgot to mention also, you can obviously regen when it comes to NPC slaying, or anything NPC related. They don't care  :)

AS I said I have no intention of revisiting that Argument. As strail put it the use of bats and bots is allowed unless it is agreed upon before not to.  Plus I have announced my intention to regen unless I agree not to before hand. But neither of you addressed the point of this post.

We are addressing the point of the post. If you do anything that goes against what I just said in my stated posts, you count as being a "poor sport".

If someone attacks you and you regen to run away then thats fine, but if you attack back and regen then thats poor.

There are other things on this server that don't have to do with PvP. I carry them because I NPC slay and I visit systems that have hostiles, I'm not going to not load them because I may decide to have a PvP.

You said it yourself, this guy isn't playing by the rules.

I do not agree at all. I use batts and bots all the time, this server is not all about PvPing.

The "unwritten rule" about regening make sense because if you use them the pvp can take a lot of time. Sometimes one pvp can take 3 or 4 minutes if the fight is balanced, so imagine using bats and bots.

All ppl understand that and accept the "rule". Now you say you dont. It is ok you can do it, but you are not respecting the way of play of 99,99% of the ppl here. The first thing anyone should do when he is playing with others is to think in "fun for all". It is selfish if you only think about yourself and dont respect what ALL rest of ppl do online.

Dont think you are the only one that said this in VOID, some players did it before you and all of them stopped doing or left server. Because playing here is more than just log in and play, it is a community and anyone that want to be part of it and want to be accepted follow the unwritten rules.

sorry guys this is not accomplishing anything except to show how confusing your so called unwritten rules make things.  As for being a poor sport who is the poor sport The player who announces his intentions or the player who uses name calling, trash talking to get thier way.

The answer to my question is You can't remove the bats and bots feature.  Bats and bots were placed in the original game for the express purpose of regenning your shields and armour.Truth told it doesn't make that much difference in my kill stats to use bats and bots or not. But I plan on excerising my right to use them when its allowed. Now if most of you are truthful you don't want them used because in your ambush attacks the fight is 80% over with your 1st volley and you don't want people to regen because then they have a chance of killing you.

OK, you can choose to do it your way, but the amount of complaints you are going to get will change your mind I think. I for one will never fight you, or anybody like you. And I'm pretty sure your going to be labeled a poor sport from now on. My advice is just accept the unwritten rule dude. Everyone else has, why can't you?

It didn't take long for some of what you said to come true.But you know  I didn't regen and it still made the player mad.Seems he thought I should wait for him to bring up another ship. He didn't like having his trader destroyed with a load on it. As for the others refusing to talk to me or what other sanctions they decide to use on me don't matter. I came here to play and play I will. I want every one of the people who have called names and insulted me to remember I asked nicely several times to be left to play the way the game is to be played. I'm done with this thread lock it if you like.

Regening is your own choice,and you have every right to do so,but don't expect people to like it.
On VOID there is long tradition of not using bats and bots.
The whole point of not regening is to make game more interesting.
It is our way... choose not to respect it and you will get criticized.
You know all this so i don't really understand why did you make this post.

We have Lots of Children here - SO - you better not pay attention too much for all what kids Do And say.
Players call you cheater cause you used Bots ? lmao - man that's a joke.

Like Liman said it's a very long tradition of all pvpers on this server. Even using bats and bots is allowed by the server rules, we - players and pvpers have an unwritten rule..we just don't regen during the pvp. After fight you can do it, if you are trading you can do it, if you are killing NPC you can do it. But no regenning in pvp fight. Special thing is if you negotiate about regenning with your opponent before the pvp.

Just don't forget..one thing is what rules say and other thing is how majority of players would like to play and fight here. Think about it.

Anyway I'm not going to repeat all that what has been already written here. If you would like to do it by your own way..well do it. Sure you can. But then I wish you good luck and lot of fun here.

Dude its really really simple.

Bats and bots are needed for npc fights, and radiation so cannot be removed.
On any multiply server ( that fights) bats and bots are considered bad form. Rightly or wrongly thats the way it is. One reason being some ships will get an advantage by having more bats and bots than others.

I could role out every scenario but this post would get long and boring.
Like I said the solution is really simple. "When in Rome do as the Romans do" It will make your game play so much easier and enjoyable.
So you die if you dont regen.  Its a cartoon explosion followed by a "you are dead Better luck next time"

I don't mind if my opponent reggens, after all I kill 'em under 5 secs before they even get the chanche to reggen anyway   :^o
