I still believe the FAQ team is doing a lot of good for the server. So is the Event team. Especially the FAQ Team has grown close to me as I put in a lot of work. But I also got a lot of crap for it. Why? I don't know, I guess a lot of people get off on doing that to others. Whatever. There comes a point where you have to ask yourself if it is all worth the trouble of dealing with it. And I'm done with all of the bullshit.
The grief I have been getting for being a FAQ and Event has gotten the better of me. Actually you won't believe half of the shit that has been said to me, day in day out. Some people will say I 'cry' too much and just need extra tissues ( Neph) and that I should have a 'thicker skin' ( Strail ) but whatever. Fact of the matter is that the amount of crap is taking the upper hand and spoiling my fun, and the motivation to go on along with it.
Furthermore I feel that the server staff is doing far too little to deal with this kinda crap. A lot of complaints don't even get taken seriously. Some staff members are even downright biased and tend to base their judgment upon their personal preferences. If you all think this is the way to go, then fine by me. But I am staying as far away from you lot as I can.
It pains me to leave the people I have come to know in the FAQ Team and believe me this has not been an easy choice. Especially because I didn't give anyone a heads up about this, for which I deeply apologize. But I had to make up my own mind in piece.
It has been a true honor and pleasure to work with any single one of you guys and gals. I'm sorry it had to come to this. I hope you can keep up the good work you have been doing. But I know that more of you are considering what I just did, so I won't blame you if you won't stay. Take care all of you.
I joined the Void one day to have fun. And it hasn't been fun for me for some time now. If a good deal from what you get from other players is offensive bull, then what is the point of even logging on? I have better things to do with my time.
after months of hard work and trying to cope with all of the crap and make it work for the better, I can only come to one conclusion:
It's all of no use. The server and the people in it have become worse than ever and are deteriorating every day. It's pointless to keep trying, especially when all I get is crap.
Everyone who wants to post a smart reply can stuff it, so don't bother. I'm not interested.
From now on I am logging on to have fun and try to enjoy what's left of the Void for for as long as it lasts.
Admins please delete my forum access to the Event section.

Yeah sorry bro, it came unexpected to you. As I said in my post, I apologize for not informing you guys, but I needed to think this over for a couple of days. In fact I think I have been thinking about it for a few weeks now.

I got a nod from a mate of mine. Your event was excellent and you even assisted him in trying to get a bit closer to the action. There were no "visible" signs of contention and I would be curious to know who it is that is giving you grief (apart from the obvious ones!) for doing what you do for the VOID. I dont think you should take Neph or Strails comments too seriously. In order to be in a positon of responsibility (ie a VOID) you are not doing your job right if no one is complaining about you! What that means is that anyone caught doing stuff they shouldnt are apt to get a bit tetchy and cry "foul" - I have not been as active of late due to exactly the same symptoms you have described.
To be honest with you, I am certain that you are now aware of why I stepped down from leading the -=REAVERS=- and focused more on my VOID guardian role. You are an integral part of the -=REAVERS=- and it would be no sad thing for you to devote what time you can when on the VOID to that very purpose. Let the others take the burden for a bit. Things change mate - they always will. Biased? Server Guards and Admins? Surely not! Remember mate there have been one or two that have even questioned why I am involved in it, provoked no doubt by their own "personal preferences" - we are after all human, (well most of us at any rate - some of us are Welsh...JUST KIDDING!!! ;) )
Dont despair. Fun should come first. If it stops being fun - stop doing it.

Although I have to point out that neither Neph's, nor Strail's comments I quoted had anything to do with it. I was just stating some expected responses. Least of my worries.
It's the crap from the community I am mainly sick of. God knows how much time and effort I have put into things and it fells like all I have been getting is crap and nothing but crap. After a while the negative things take the upper hand and it seems you keep hitting walls.
'Taking time off' is not really appropriate, since I won't be returning to FAQ nor Event. Like they would let me back in lol.
I am distancing myself from anything community related that comes with some kind of responsibility. Like I said I am here to have fun and Reavers give me that. CBA with the rest anymore. That includes discussions about biased or non-biased Guardians or anything policy-related. I have seen enough to make up my own mind about staff behavior and I know who to trust and - more importantly - who not to. It's not up to me to decide how this place should be run and how the rules should be enforced.
Enjoying the scenery is a good thing - its fantastic out there...! I like it here despite all the back biting and bitching that goes on. Its part of life. I read Zebs post "Sign of the Times". If you want this place to survive give the creator some breathing room...! As for the rest of you picking on people who are trying to organise events that you all complained there wasnt enough of and then criticising them for trying to help folk out - well, maybe you should all go play somewhere else if its so bad here that you have to complain about it....? Just a thought thats all. Me? Having fun being a -=REAVERS=- player and doing some trading to make some dosh and thats about it.
I for one am glad I dont have the urge to be a VOID guardian or an ADMIN - I couldnt give it the time.
