Looks like the will be 'even better' than Vista...

Is there anyone here who has first-hand experience with Windows 7 and can give me his view on it? Is it worth saving money for it this time?

yes i listenned about Win 7 some months ago , and it says it will be better than Vista

in my mind Vista is a path of a bad OS for a little time just like the changement btw Win 98 and XP and btw them the Windown 200 the worst OS  :P

Vista is just a path btw two excellent OS (i hope  :P )

Windows 2000 was ok, it's Windows ME that was uber crap.

True, ME was the worst excuse for an OS that has ever been.  Mom bought a gateway with that one it, I had to reformat it in about 4 months cause it just would not work anymore.  Terrible.

Well to date Windows 7 is the sweetest OS I have tried, still like XP though, only problem I have found to date is a bad Flash 10 support. So when I try to play flash games it goes blue oh another one, I first had some problems with connecting to MP in lot's of games, but then there was an update which seemed to fix all that. Oh and the Fonts in FL became three times bigger :O seemed to solve it self when I installed Warcraft 3 though

well, windows 7 SUCKS for now, its the worst OS after year 2000 microsoft ever made, DOS = nice "OS" but its still a stolen code, windows 3.1 = crap, windows 95 = crap, windows 98 = crap, windows 98 SE = ok, windows 2000 = ok, but i still dont like it cause of the inability to run DOS based applications, windows XP = ok, windows vista = crap, windows 7 = crap



windows 7 goes BSOD when u try starting normal applications, for example winamp, or even Firefox

thats the experience ive had with it

can't remember it going BSOD when I start FF or Winamp, only with FF was after I downloaded flash 10 and tried to play flash games.
Also remember that this is only a beta version and that somethings might be fixed in the customer release, unlike Vista who were delivered unfinished....
oh and ME was the worst OS ever.... but that's only my old computer talking.

Actually I prefer to use Linux (oh and Linux is by far the most secure and stable OS out there), ubuntu on my working PC, and game on my Windows pc, and Photoshop and modeling on my school Mac.

@Mav-Most guys definitely agree that it is far better than Vista,miles ahead.
It could happen that all the probs we are facing because of Vista in FL could get solved if people turn to this.
But we will have to see.

Its faster and things look better.Comparisons are being made with Mac OS by many Apple crazy fans so it must be at least good enough to be considered by them!(Usually they turn a blind eye to MS products in their crazy adulation and worship of anything that is Apple.)

@Wolfie-Its just beta version.MS has been losing market share slowly but surely to Apple,it will make sure it doesn't make the same mistakes as it did with Vista.If it does then MS is in big trouble as it is losing the browser wars to likes of Firefox etc and is losing the search engine competition to Google.

It only has this Windows OS left,all it has to do is make it good enough so that users don't consider any other alternatives because all PCs come with Windows,just prevent them from shifting.
