For the ones who don't know that, Scorp is me. It was the very first char I used and after some months of not using it, it's now time to dust it off. Let's see if we can bring back some real-deal RP to the server. (Once again)
You can expect some hard core RP from the Scorp. Anyone who wants to join me, feel free to. Who knows there could even be a 'Black Pirates'-guild somewhere in the future.

I wanna do things right this time so I need a few days to sort out the right reps and all. After that you'll see the Scorp flying about.

Piracy is pretty much dead on this server thanks to the introduction of the [R] tag. (and that's not the only damage this tag has caused for this server)
A good attempt indeed to revive the piracy RP on the server but in my opinion it won't last long.
How can you persuade a player to join the Piracy guild and play accordantly to it (loot/tax before opening fire) when he could have it much easier being a Rogue and just blow **** up without any questions being asked and by doing this ruining the fun for it's "victims" (traders and unexperienced players mostly) this resulting in frustration and bad feelings and eventually exiting the game of the shot down players.
And once his targets have left,what then? (check out the online player numbers and you'll get the picture)

Although i agree with you,i don't think this is the right post to argue and debate on this.
Tbh,i really don't want to debate anymore on this,same thing again and again.....  

As an individual effort this needs to be applauded.It has inspired some people to be pirates as well. =D>


Only time will tell on the success of this,Burn,we should not be so dismissive,even though u may be right again.

Good to see this char again,i tried many times to 'speak' and 'recruit' this 'char' into the the then newly formed AoF X Wing,but that time my efforts failed due to unknown reasons.  ;)

Nothing needs to be taken to seriously.

Its just a nice change to RP and i'm sure people will welcome a few more pirates flying about. No one needs to join anything they just need to be able to have a brain and tax the hell out of traders and fighters.

Its up to the freelancers and traders to co operate with RP and pay tax, therefore if the player base is willing to RP then the players are.

I am positively surprised about the number of positive comments I have received both in game as in this thread. There have even been some players who have re-created their old pirate chars. One thing that strikes me is that a lot of questions are about how serious I am with the 'Black Pirates Guild'. Well to tell you the truth, that was just hypothesizing. In fact, no good RP player needs a guild or clan to play a proper rp.
Nevertheless I am keeping possibilities open for the future. However I strongly feel we should first let this run for a while and see how the pirates do by themselves. As Greaver said, in order to let the pirate RP succeed, the co-operation of the freelancers and traders of Void is needed bigtime. All you need to do is actually play the role of your trader or freelancer, and go along with it. If you die, be a good sport and pay the 200K tax. If not for the financial reward then for the moral support.

The pirate RP has struggled before, and efforts to revive it have been made just as many times. There is no guarantee that this one will be the successful one. So let's see how it goes for the next few weeks.

Oh and uuuhhhm, if I call you a 'scurvy dog' or 'skinny deckhand' - it's not personal, just RP blah blah.
