The end of the Wii?

Post by Verminard »

Now this is cool, if it works like in the video. Question is will it be xbox 360 only or are they gonna bring out a version for the PC. But you gotta admit it cool as ****, and the first time I've been tempted by the 360.

it is like that camera for the PS2...i forget its name

But if the 360 does that, Wii is dead.

This kind of technology usually brings lots of bugs... if they can fix them then it's a new generation of home gaming.

PS3 Are also constructing the same thing as wii controllers, hopefully they will show it off in E3 later, if I can find a link I will post it.

The end of the Wii?
Probably not. A lot of Nintendo fans are just in it for the reoccurring games. (Zelda, Metroid, Mario, etc.)
It may hurt Nintendo's casual gaming market somewhat, but the comparitively low price of the Wii means they probably won't be hit too hard; and then there's the fact that I for one am not going to buy a 360 just for this. I can imagine there being only a handful of games that support the functionality, for one thing; and call me set in my ways, but it'll take more than the opportunity the flail around like a moron to tear me away from my familiar old controllers.

In short, I'll say what I say about any outlandish idea like this- come and talk to me again once the novelty's worn off.

I agree - just another segment of the market.
And after all - who will afford that and the space in front of it...:D

That looks an awful lot like the home computers you see in some SF shows. I always love these kind of new finds. Keep in mind that this is just the first take on the concept - nah you really can't compare the Wii imo - so I reckon it won't take centuries to see this concept being integrated into home systems and make it possible to control your whole house and all its systems with it.

A second thought: if this kind of technology is now released for public use, just think what certain agencies must have at their disposal behind closed doors...

PMSL I can see warranty and insurance companies having a field day with this one... imagine how many plasma/LCD and LED TV's will get smashed from a stray roundhouse kick of over enthusiastic penalty on FIFA, would they pay out for the replacements? :P

Cool idea if they get it to work though.

WOW!!! THE GAME LAGGED!!! oh wait its 360 -_-

PS3 For The WIN

just look it up 360 fanboys, every comp geek knows the performance of a PS3 kicks 360's ass

anyways, yes its a nice feature but i prefer getting Wii for it than buying the Xbox which is cheap, but u gotta pay shitloads of money for all the extras, making it cost alot more than the "expensive" PS3 with everything allready there, supports most things :-w  :-w

or the Wii which also is cheap, i dont know how the support is there

The important thing is that its not regarding the product it self, which is 360 in this case.
We are nearing middle of console cycle and and the next gen ones would soon go on drawing boards.
So forget 360.

In this case it is the technology that matters, and how well it would be perfected in the coming years and included in gaming consoles.

This is just the beginning,as one can see Sony isn't really behind and is working on its own version of this tech and Nintendo has already a rudimentary form of it and maybe working to improve it further.

Whether you like it or not,in this fitness crazed world of ours this technology makes sure that the fat gamer becomes extinct.
It will be included and perfected to take care of bugs, cost and any possible injuries.

So don't think about 360 but think about technology which is bound to enter your homes in a few years down the line.It is almost inevitable.
Think about tech.

EDIT-And it  need not be through games, you can very well find this tech in your offices to give presentations,workshops,brain-storming sessions etc.
