it became much harder after a while. Some of the old pilots, pilots that he never
managed to hunt down and use as food or resource. Most of them were also grouped
up, so even if he could take them down 1 on 1, it was impossible to when he got
outnumbered as well. That is when he realized he needed help, a "wingman" at the
least, to survive.
Right around that time the Fallen One had received the transmission from the Reavers'
base, but the transmission was hard to make out, probably because the transmitter
hadn't been used in a long time, so he had no idea who sent that message or where
exactly he was telling him to go. He did, however, manage to clear out that he was
being instructed towards a new Reavers base, in Omega 41. As soon as he deciphered
that message, he set his autopilot towards the Omega 41 system.
The path to the system wasn't easy, it was creeped up with Nomads, Robots and Monkeys,
none of them making it easy for the Fallen One, though he could take them down without
any major difficulties. Upon his arrival to the Omega 41 system he had no idea where
to start looking, so he made a search pattern that would best cover the system. It
wasn't very friendly to anyone who was there with all the asteroids and very strong
radiation. The asteroids weren't much of a problem for the Fallen One as he could fly
around them without much problem, but the radiation was eating his hull slowly but surely,
and he hoped the search wouldn't take too long.
Of course, just as luck would take it, the search did take long, and his hull was almost
finished when he finally managed to find the base. And it was well hidden, perfectly
suiting the Reavers' needs. After he docked, he let the nanobots do the dirty work of
repairing the ship. After all it was merely hull eaten up by the radiation, not
battle-specific damage, while he looked up a terminal where he could find any info on
who sent the message sending him here and more info on other Reavers' whereabouts.
It didn't take him long to find out that the message was sent by Draugr, who was now the
leader of the Reavers and to make contact with him. After a brief update on the happenings
while he was gone and the news about what the Reavers looked like now, the Fallen One had
decided he had to join them once again.
But he needed a tag... and what better tag than that written all over the ship with the
blood of one of his biggest nemesis.
That nemesis was a certain =ESF= pilot that had always either eluded him, or made him turn
his tail and run from certain death. It didn't take him long to locate the pilot as the new
Reavers base had quite advanced sensors. He was in Babylonia, probably hunting some pirates.
It wasn't long before the Fallen One caught up with him, either because the =ESF= pilot
didn't notice him or he didn't care, not that it meant much to the Fallen One.
The battle took place near planet Nabonidus, in the middle of a dense asteroid field, where
real piloting skills would be seen and where the best will surely prevail. It was a long
battle, guns blazing, torpedoes blowing up in their own faces, chunks of hull falling apart,
but neither being able to deal that final blow while the shields were down. They were both
very careful with the shields down, not being able to hit the enemy, but neither to get
blown to bits. After a long while, the Fallen One finally managed to shoot his shields down
and get a torpedo through in the same pass, and his nemesis' ship was blown to bits and his
corpse safely tractored into the Fallen Ones cargo hold.
Afterwards, he went back to the Reavers base in Omega 41, this time he knew where he was going
so he wasn't too worried about the radiation. Once on the base he repaired his ship first, then
went on to chop the corpse and write -=REAVERS=- all over his ship. When he was finished with
that he cut out the brains of the pilot and ate them and the remaining of his head he put on the
stem of his ship, so everyone would know who is coming.
