@ Burn: In every FL community when a new mod is announced everyone wants it to be out immediately after 1 week, month...but it is not possible. OK i want to play the v9 too but I will wait another month if it will mean that the mod will be better. Also as saman mentioned the Void DevTeam is small. There are mods where 4-5 or more people are working on ships for example. Here only me and Hash - or at lest I know only about two of as. Just 2 person for modelling and texturing all the fancy new ships everyone wants. And we have RL too, this applies for every devteam member. You guys must understand that we are doing the best we can but there is a difference between a Devteam with 7-8 members and 15-20 members.

Admins and Modders should take up the initiative and post here on the public forum what's actually being done (mod wise) and also ask community members what they think about some features.If they are good/bad,needed/unneeded,balanced/unbalanced

Maybe something is being added that most here don't even want (3D systems were a good example of that in the past) etc etc

For what I understand (and I'm not 100% sure about this), decisions have been made (chosen by the Dev Team and CRTeam), the drafts are done and the mod is being built upon those "drafts".

I suppose the new mod it's already in an advanced stage, so it's a bit foolish to stop everything now and making new drafts. There was a time for that, now it's time for the mod to be built and the players to be patient.

I'm sure the Dev Team is making the best effort possible for us to play a great v9.

@ Kosmiker: nope, not really. The CRT team has finished up all the drafts a while ago, and from what we've heard, the A/V team is holding regular discussing them - but the whole thing was almost completely about server rules and such needed for the transition to relaxed RP, and not about suggestions for the upcoming mod. After all, Strail has said that it'll start without the mod release first, so that clans and people have time to adjust to the changes.


@ Burn: your suggestion would basically require one person to be dedicated to doing PR. I think you can see why noone would want to do that - and besides, any kind of regular reports would only make sense if they were started at the beginning of development, not at the end phases of it. Like Kosmiker has said, now is not the time for that.

Besides, that's what testing is also for: not just to find bugs, but also to see what people think about new features, what they believe is unbalanced, and so on. You know the drill: there'll be a couple of days of closed testing first, to see if the transition works at all, then there's open testing, and once enough time has passed without serious bugs (that need a new release to be fixed) having been found, the mod is released as final. You'll be able to give feedback all throughout that.
