Hi all, i have played Freelancer years ago and tryed several times to install it again. Installation is no problem, but when i want to multiplay the game, the game doesn't seem to be able to find ANY servers.
You will need to use Freelancer direct IP to get on, i'm under the impression that the public server list has been disabled some years ago..
there's a "fldirectip" somewhere in FL folder, either data or exe folders, click on it, put the IP from Voidserver frontpage to it and launch, then it should show up on your server list.
Hope this helps, i need to double check some things myself when i get home from work and install the game myself.

thanks for the quick respond. Next problem, i can start up the game, i find the server, and i can play, i start in NewYork as every noob, and when i want to launch, the game crashes. I dont have the void mod, since i can not download it anywhere. The links on the forum aren't active anymore.
Can someone send me the mod-file please? Or give me a working link? Please answer here or send to my email adress Stockmansp@gmail.com
Ok it means that the mod hasnt totally xfer from mod manager to your freelancer game.
Ok do this:
1. make sure that all mods are deactivated in the mod manager and freelancer game is not running.
2. In mod manager, go to the tab - "Tools", then choose "restore backups" - wait for it to finish.
3. when finished and it might take a few minutes, click on the mod and reactivate the mod and wait until you get the green tick.
Ok guys, those tips brought me a bit further. I get the void screen when i start up the game, so that is working, however, when i try to get in space, the game keeps on crashing.
Maybe direcX problem ? I am running windows 7 profesional and i have a videocard Nvidia GeForce GT440 with 1 GB DDR3. When i start up the game, it says i might have problems with the videocard ... Is that the reason why it crashes when I get in space ?

No, it is not this problem. The Freelancer writes this warning from the beginning.
But if you are already so far with launch, what your saved position from any other mods? It can also cause a fall.
If you have everything important right, I think the correct mod and FLMM etc, try reinstal the game and FLMM.
EDIT:
Ou, too late. It is good that already works.
And where was the problem?
