Unusual screen resolution

Would be happy to see a link for this kind of patch since I don't remember file structure of FL anymore, nor I have sdk to edit camera and hud inis.

-OR-

An in-game solution for a 16:9 resolution, quite awkward to see FL in-a-box.

after googling for a solution, the camera.ini fix doesn't work for me.

Hi there, try changing it here - Start/My Games/Freelancer/PerfOptions.ini. You will find the screen res at the bottom, Chang there and save.

I have the same problem... tried many ways to fix it, none seemed to work. I however did find a sort of fix, find out what the maximum resolution you can apply in the game, set it as that. Go to your desktop, change your desktop's resolution to what the game is showing up as - run the game and it should be at the resolution you set it as - After this is done, you can change your desktop resolution back to whatever it was and the game should stay the same.

Example:
*Before Change*
Game Supports: 1600 x 1200
Desktop Supports: 1920 x 1080

*After Change*
Game Displayed at: 1600 x 1200
Desktop Displayed at: 1600 x 1200

Then after thats done and you login the game to make sure it is all working right, you can change your desktop back to whatever it was before, like this:

Game: 1600 x 1200
Desktop 1920 x 1080

Keep in mind that the resolutions vary from each person, depending on your graphics card and monitor resolution support so just go your highest and change both to the same then back again. If it doesn't work, then try what Asmodeus said - that didn't work for me though.

If I understand the question and make no mistake, any player from 4S used that.
There were disputes, if the game resolution to the current LCD's is a cheat/advantage or not.

No it is not a cheat if you just want your res to look correct.

Suggest you just slowy change resolution as appears on your resolution grapics chart. Start high, and work downwards till you hit the right resolution for your monitor.

Works every time. Good Luck.
