we Attack Everyone and EVERYONE ( check our Diplomacy ) - Except AoF , they are Traders , and We tend to kill Fighters not Traders - Cause Killing Traders dont bring fun to our game.

Because they either are "Rogue" clans - which is against the rules OR they have not properly maintained and followed their RP by behaving like Rogues and not being properly tagged as most of you seem to think.  You cant say one thing and then do another.

This was started as a post for someone to join the -=REAVERS=- It went a bit off track thats why I closed it and I still believe that most of what will be posted here will become - yet again - a circular argument with certain people going round in ever decreasing circles till they join Burn in whatever dark and smelly place he is in at the moment....

Let the -=REAVERS=- do their thing  - you did before, so why the change all of a sudden?  Either Put Up, or Shut Up.

Against my better judgement, I'm going to jump in here and make a few hopefully clarifying points...

Rogue clans are not permitted because it goes against the philosophy of a rogue as a loner, not for the act of killing people. I remember being in Dork (Tagged [Do[r]k] at that point) at the time the rule was enforced, and there wasn't the merest suggestion of an intention to ban us- we just threw out the inner set of square brackets and carried on as normal, and yes, this is also why clans who are present now who behave in a similar manner to rogues have not been banned either. (I know this isn't really one of the major points of this thread, but seeing the words 'ban' and 'Eclipse' in the same sentence makes me nervous)

If a clan chooses to be evil (like the Reavers,Beavers or whatever you are calling yourself these days) they should be forces (as a clan) to have an evil reputation aswell.

I have to say, I like that idea. From a roleplay standpoint, running around killing people ought to be hard- murder isn't the most socially acceptable pastime, so people are going to get annoyed and want you dead- the information will most likely get passed on to the authorities, who'll want you in chains at the very least, hence my stance on the issue as to whether habitual player-killers should have an [R] tag- if you want to be a serial killer, expect the mob with pitchforks. To carry this idea over to clans and NPCs as Burn proposed- if you're a band of psychopaths, law-abiding citizens are not going to want you on their planet, and they certainly are not going to want to sell you more guns.

On the other hand, this is arguably forcing someone into a role and cutting down on the clan's freedom for creativity in deciding that role, and this is not an RP server. In my view, it's a bugger, but it's the way things are for now.

Maybe we're due for a change, who knows. But until then this looks like a catch-22 situation to me, unless someone has a bright idea.

Actually, after thinking what I've said in my last post to this it all seems like it's a massive pile of crap.

People play their game like they want. Unfortunately there are some boundaries that you gotta get around, like Reavers did (which is IMO really clever). And some people got banned for doing so in the past. But guess what? They're back and they're still playing when ever they want, on rogue characters.

I know I've said I'm against this, but hey I'm not a member of Reavers and I probably never will be. However, they're doing their part and actually playing their role. They're not going "OMG WHY YOU KILL ME!?" on any chat like some noob rogues I've met lately.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. It's another rogue-ish clan, another few frags. You have loads of those around, take <666> for instance. They're doing the same and not getting any crap about it. Why go ballistic with idiotic remarks when no one can be bothered to actually listen?

Everyone just needs to chill out and play the bloody game since it'll never be more than that. A GAME.

I'm not taking sides, but for f**s sake quit moaning and start playing the game. Void's starting to feel like a bloody soap opera all over again.

I know watchwolf wanted to keep this open...but the mudslinging has gone to far now and several complaints have been recieved about this thread.

Those of you trying to play the racism card, if you can PROOVE that Zeb is being in anyway racist other than you simply taking it that way then please feel free to contact me, otherwise shut up.

Race, religion, geographic location, gender and age have absolutely no bearing in this server, if you play within the rules I don't care if you routinely sacrifice children in your spare time...that's your business not mine, but bring it on the server and make an issue of it and we'll have a problem.

To the new guy I'm genuinely sorry that you had to bear witness to all this nonsense, but this is the failing of the internet, people think they can say whatever they want while forgetting that this is a members forum with rules and by joining the right of free speach is voluntarilly wavered just as it is on the server itself. I hope the rampant siliness of a few people hasn't put you off enjoying our mod, server and community and I hope you enjoy yourself with the reavers.
