I <3 Freelancer (Hello Voidys!)

Hello, I am Sorge as you can see. I have played Freelancer off and on for several years, and can honestly say...this is the best game I have ever played. I may get bored of it sometimes and play another game, but I always come back.

This will be my first time on Void. I tried to play on Void back in August, but I messed up my computer and could not play map-modifying mods. So, I was on XD-Gaming for a while until I got bored of lack of competition. I was a member of BRO there, so if Pi is unbanned, or Cortana is around on Void, say hi to me eh? (Now I have a new computer, should be able to play with the mod)

I will most likely be a part time player, seeing as I am currently very involved in a game called 12 Sky. However, the company hosting the American version has low quality servers, making lag unbearable, so we will see if I stay or not. If I cannot handle the lag, I may move to a fulltime Freelancer. I am not quite sure how I plan to roleplay this time around, but I am sure I will figure it out soon.

I will see you guys in space, as soon as I can make your 'Connect to this server' link work....-clicks- Gah! Work dangit!

About the Direct-Connect button: right click on it and select 'save target as'. Save it to your desktop. By double clicking it now you can enter the Void. If this doesn't work:

Make sure you have the Global Server Workaround installed. A while ago, MS terminated the Global Server, so that no server shows up in the server list. Installing the Workaround solves this.

Get this installed and then do this:

- Navigate to the FL folder on your HD. (default is C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Freelancer)
- Open the FL folder
- Open the EXE folder
- You will see a file called 'fldirectip' (HTML Application)
- Make a shortcut of this one and put it on your desktop
- Open the file and put this IP in: 85.14.217.82:2302
- Click 'add server' and then 'launch FL'
- Next time you start, the Global Workaround will have picked up the IP and you can just start by double clicking the FL icon.

*EDIT* Hmmm...when I try to save the link, it says target file cannot be found...I will try uninstalling Freelancer, and reinstalling it. I believe that because I installed it outside of the Program Files folder, several things may not work. Best to reinstall it into its correct destination.

*EDIT2*Reinstall didn't let me save the link...On to the second option.
