very annoyng...
now im mad.very mad.here are my problems:
1.in any pvp,when i launch anything(missle,torp,cd or gun fire),i get a 1-2 seconds pause and then i see that i've got killed
2.i want to use chain fire on anihilators, but i have alot of lag when i start it,
thats why i lose almost all pvps.what can i do to get rid of this?i would buy another computer(laptop) this summer, and i think this will take some time.i dont want to upgrate my current computer.does anyone know any tool who help to get rid of this?

Maybe purchasing additional memory would suffice?

turn your graphics as far down as possible in options, turn 3d audio off, turn effects, audio down as much as possible.
You need to reduce the load on your cpu, these will help. play with the options to see what the best settings are for you.

Its better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that
you\'re stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt.

Re: very annoyng...
I would do what Strail said. It has helped me in the past when my old computer was low specs and i was able to play fine. You won't experience all the graphical features that all the rest of the players do, but at least you can still play.
ur computer must be strong so u wont have lags.Wery clear playing is like 5.0GHZ and 2GB ram
Actually its not. I play with a 6.0GHz processor and 3GB RAM. I still receive some glitches and lag spikes throughout playing Freelancer, or any game for that matter. You will never be able to play everything without ANY problems. Something will always happen.
These are my system specs:
Processor:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~6.0GHz
Memory:
3072MB DDRII
Hard Drive:
250 GB SATA-II
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GS 512MB
Monitor:
Generic PnP Monitor
Sound Card:
Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Operating System:
Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.longhorn_rtm.080118-1840)
With my computer, i play pretty good and there is not too much problems going wrong with lag, crashes, players jumpin, but from time-to-time i always get these problems. On an estimate of 2 times a day when i am playing.
If you want Freelancer to work good without much problems, get what i got with my old PC.
Around 2.0GHz Processor, Around 1GB RAM, Around 128MB Graphics Card. With this, Freelancer should work pretty good as it does not require too much power from computers and it is quite an old game.
Best Regards,
HH.

Re: very annoyng...
@Strail:i lowered the details at the lowest level, but still nothing.i want to say that on chainfire i receive the strongest lag because there i have 0.5-1 sec pause(lag)
@Mrtvacina:i dont use any antivirus,or maybe i have caught a virus, and i need to install kaspersky again:(
@Headhunter:my computer is :2,4 ghz, intel pentium 4 singlecore,128 nvidia geforce fx 5200,1gb ddr,and i have a teribble problem:if i want my cpu to run well,i have to extract a side pannel from my central unit, otherwise my cpu overloads, overheates and then boom....mega crash
thanks for all who helped me,but i would buy a laptop.if i buy a mouse for it,would be possible to play FL on void?better than on a desktop computer?

Re: very annoyng...
Your problem is from your videocard.FX and GS graphic processors from Nvidia are weak. For FL is necesary to have Nvidia card with GT series graphic procesors at 128 bits, and at least 128mb memory. 1 gb ram memory is enough for FL but videocard must be GT at 128 bits to avoid "freezes" as much as possible.
For your videocard you must go on nvidia panel and set graphic card for best performance(it is default seted at best quality).this might help a bit.
