can't connect with vista

i really tried everything
i checked all other posts & did everything still nothing works :/
i uninstalled my norton & now i just use zonealarm which trusts FL
i can see the void server & even see how many players online
but when i try to connect it says cant establish connection or server is offline

i donno what else to do really & i miss the server wanna play ASAP ;/

Are you using a router? If so, make sure you forward a port for freelancer. I believe freelancer uses 2302. You can find it on the homepage, the port is the last 4 digits of the server IP.
Also please make sure you only use the following:

- Freelancer
- FLMM
- The mod

You do not need anything else to play, everything you need is incorporated into the mod itself. In fact adding patches etc can only cause trouble.

And make sure you are running the game, FLMM and such in admin mode.

This for sure looks like a security issue. Something is not letting you connect to the Void server. So you should be looking in that direction.

Hi   I have vista and tried everything to connect, If this helps the only thing i done different to u was install WINDOWS ONE CARE  this is what maverick told me to try and yes i connected  hope this helps

i think thats ZoneAlarm preventing you from connecting

i use Zone Alarm and can connect successfully
beside that , i dont see Zone alarm on the Forbidden List of antivirus progies on the vista tech post

have you tried running msxml3.msi from the \redist\ folder on the game cd?

sometimes this helps with vista...
