Server no longer visable

Good Afternoon void,

I was wandering if you could help me with a problem. I have only just recently began playing on your server after not playing this game in atleast 5 years.
It took me a great deal of time to get the mod to work with my computer but nonetheless with persistance i have got it working.
Unfortuantly i have all of a sudden hit a brick wall, for some reason when i put the ip address into the the directip via my computer, it boots up and when i look for the server in the multiplayer lan section, it does not show up anymore. I have checked to see if the server is online while this is happening and there are people playing so the problem is my end.

Is there any advice you could give me please?
I am currently running windows vista and the only way i can get the server to show and work is by using the directip option in the my computer section.

You could try the direct link from home page as it's always worked for me (also using vista).

..But ATM the server is offline as stateed on homepage here also.

awaiting any news myself as to why and when expected back up.

Well, atm i am currently in the middle of uninstalling the whole lot and reinstalling it all again.
That should help.

Thing is the server has not been down all day coz i have seen some people online via the website in the morning.

Ok update:

I have reinstalled both freelancer and flmm.
I updated my freelancer to 1.1 before i put on the void mod.

I can now see the server but its greyed out.

Any ideas how to solve this?

If it's greyed out then it's probably the wrong mod.Do you have 'The Void:2115 v8' (current mod) activated in your mod manager?
Updating Freelancer is unneeded in my opinion.
Check your Firewall - make sure Freelancer is listed as an exception and allowed acces.

Ok, after spending 3 constant days on this i am now on the verge of giving up completly unfortuantly.

I have now got the server to appear in blue.
It allows me to select my charecter, then as its loading up to put me in the game, the game closes down.

This rinses and repeats now each time i try to login.
I even created a new charecter and it allowed me 3 seconds before apparently there was something wrong with my connection (which there wasen't) and booted me off.

I have done all ur advice as of this far.
Hell im doing exactly what i done the first time i got this working and now its just simply not working.

Any last ditch advice from any of u before i throw in the towel.

-Restore backups in Freelancer Mod Manager
-Delete Freelancer folder in Program Files\Microsoft Games\
-Delete Void mod
-Install Freelancer
-Download mod from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4WACP595
-Activate mod
-See if it works

Have you been using any cheat programs in game?Have you used abusive language in game?
Perhaps you got banned.

@ Burn, i cannot see how matey, im the last person to cause trouble so i personally think a ban is a impossability.

@ Zeus, Ok fella, i will do it in precisly that order and see how it goes. Il post a reply when i have done exactly that.

Well,that's quite bizzare.

Another player had a similar issue.He had over 100 items stored on one in game character this caused a drop of the game after a short period of time.
You should provide your in game chars here so that the admins can have a look at them and delete some items if necessery.
Any other info is also good:Operating system,antivirus present,firewall, etc etc

I'm pretty sure it has to be the "overdose" of 100 items in your case.

If not,follow Zeus advise - has to work

I tried you idea zeus to the letter and now the server is greyed out again.

Burn it is now time to use ur advice and then the towel will get tossed if none of it work. Somehow i got to get the server blue again which will no doubtly take a furthur 2 days.

My game charecter is LightBinger.
My operating system is windows vista.
My firewall atm is windows live onecare with a anti virus program of avira antivir personnel - anti virus.

Cant think of anything else that will assist.

Something i might have to put forward, when i was playing the game, all the new ships, weapons etc and had the name "IDS?". I do not know if that is normal or that could be some corruption my end, who knows.

For example the new frieghter on planet manhatten is called "IDS?" and there is no info about the ship and no stats on the right hand side.

As i stated, i dont know if that is normal either.

When you activated the mod, did you run FLMM as administrator?

In all fairness no matey, i did not right click the flmm and click run as admin.

However when i did download the patch from ur sight, it got to the end of the download and poped up stating the file could be corrupt.

I have done ur process again zeus.

This time i now have the server up blue but everytime i load up my charecter it crashes and kicks me back to the window screen.
I am not uninstalling and editing any furthur as i believe it is now out of my hands.

Could the admins please look into my charecter to see if there are any issues please.
Charecter name is LightBinger and 1 thing i did notice is my ship is "????????"

The ship should be the valkyrie mark 2 from the order ship in omicron something.
My ship is currently docked at a station in omega 11 i believe.

Please look into this for me. And thanks everyone for ur help this far.
