unable to choose server from list

hello, thank you for your time.

i have been unable to select the server from the global server list it is a gray color.

i have deleted mod
deleted flmm
deleted freelancer itself
reinstalled freelancer
redownloaded flmm v1.3
redownloaded version 9

im ansure what to do next.

Try using LAN connect not NET ether Use the Direct connect on the main page of the forum or create a short cut to freelancer
on your desk top, then add this in the target box  -s85.14.217.82:2302 after Freelancer.exe." ( there is a space between the " and -s)

To get to target box right click your short cut then Properties then when done apply it then ok it.

mod is not properly activated or you replaced the freelancer executable.

The version number of your game is defined inside the Freelancer.exe. For some reason, yours isn't matching that of the server, which is why you cannot connect. Reasons for this may be the .exe in the mod files not copying over properly, or you have activated the mod then inserted your own Freelancer.exe, which is what Rimshot is saying.

This problem cropped up quite a bit with v8, I think, but I don't think I ever knew what the solution was. Someone else might, and post here.

Do a re-Instal of freelancer and the mod...

Have you played on any other modded server?This might have corrupted some files and this is why you see the voidserser as grayed out.

Try this:Open Mod Manager--Tools--Restore Backup
Manually delete the void mod from the Mods folder
Redownload and reinstall the void mod

If this also doesn't work than manually delete all other mods and do a fresh new reinstall.

hmmm... o i see

i reinstalled freelancer
and redownloaded mod
i have received this error message
file modmanger
         access to c:\program files\freelancer modmanger\mods\void2115v9\dlls\BIN\content.dll was denied

it was followed by this massage
error:unable to extract a file from mod archive 'void2115v9' files possibly corrupt.

i would have put the screen shots in but i have problems with uploading them.. a problem for another time.

thank you for your help i cant wait to fly in the great and powerful new mod bestowed apon us by the powers that be  :)

@fireaters I think i know the problem, first Re-boot your PC ,deactivate the mod then delete it, uninstall freelancer and the mod manager.
Re-install freelancer, mod manager,  then install mod. when you activate mod tern off realistic lighting mod
This is the same problem I was getting until i terned off Realistic Lighting Mod.

Maybe simply copying the .exe/content.dll from the mod folder to the Freelancer folder will solve the problem.

Make sure the mod is activated. Navigate to Program Files > Freelancer Mod Manager > mods > Void2115v9 > EXE and copy the file named Freelancer.exe.

Now navigate to Program Files > Microsoft Games > [Your FL install folder] > EXE and paste the file, overwriting the one there.

Go back to mods > Void2115v9 but then go DLLS > BIN and copy content.dll. The place you want to paste it is [Your FL install folder] > DLLS > BIN. Then try connecting again.

Bit of a long shot, but you never know.

wel this is funni ,i got the same problem.  I think maybe some of the mod makers have hacking EXE files to solve server chraces,then by misstake banned or deleted some of us.  Because i reinstal FL then the mod ,but cant logg in its not green. and i have played here at void since 2007.Yesterday all function good.
